Finca la Cañota is a traditional estate located in the Lecrín Valley with 10 beautiful rooms. If you’re looking for a vacation filled with peace, space, and relaxation, Finca la Cañota is the perfect choice. Our authentic accommodations are designed exclusively for adults. As an “Adults Only” property, Finca la Cañota welcomes guests aged 18 and older. A pleasant atmosphere, respect for fellow guests, and respect for the property and its surroundings are of the utmost importance to us.

The estate was built by a wealthy Andalusian family between 1940 and 1945 and consists of a large residence (450 m²), 4 stables (200 m²), a large swimming pool (7 x 11 m), and a spacious garden with mainly orange trees (5,000 m²). On the first floor of the main house, 4 single rooms and 2 double rooms have been created. On the first floor, a beautiful double room accessible to people with disabilities, a common area, and the owners’ apartment have been created. The stables have been renovated into three beautiful two-story double rooms. All of this has been carried out in accordance with modern quality standards and conveniences, while respecting the original details and the loving appreciation of the original Andalusian owners. Excellent Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire estate. All rooms and double rooms are furnished with the original furniture, authentic decorations, and household items. As a result, the estate exudes the atmosphere of Spain’s colonial heyday from 100 years ago. This has created a unique vacation destination unlike any other. Some guests sometimes joke that it resembles a “regional museum” more than a vacation destination!

Location and Climate

Finca la Cañota is located in the center of the village of Talará, within walking distance of all local amenities: three mini-markets, various shops (clothing, butcher, bakery, hair salon, etc.), three banks with ATMs, the Lecrin town hall, a doctor’s office, a pharmacy, a post office, two gas stations, an elementary school, and an outdoor swimming pool that’s open in July and August. There are also several bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink with a free tapa, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Talará is the municipal seat of the municipality of Lecrin. The municipality of Lecrin includes the villages of Talará, Acequias, Chite, Mondújar, Murchas, and Béznar.
