La Casetta

Wir, 3 Erwachsene, verbrachten 2 wunderschöne Wochen in diesem kleinen Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist mit einem kleinen Garten/Terrasse ausgestattet und liegt am Rande des Dorfes in ruhiger Lage. Kleine Einkaufsmärkte und Obst/Gemüseläden sowie mehrere Bars zum Frühstücken und Verweilen sind im Ort vorhanden. Die Umgebung ist geprägt vom Aspromonte Massiv, herrlich zum Wandern. Den Sonnenaufgang kann man von der Bergkirche, welche vom Haus aus sichtbar ist, genießen. Das Meer ist traumhaft, tolles klares Wasser. Die Vermieterin ist sehr angenehm und unkompliziert, die Kommunikation bestens. Die Betten sind bequem. Danke, dass wir dieses Ferienhaus auf unserer Reise nutzen konnten.

Die Duschkabine ist etwas schwierig zu schließen, nachdem man aber weiß, auf was man achten muss, passt es und sie schließt dicht ab.

The little house was well-equipped and clean (except for the oven, which had been forgotten about). The bed was very comfortable. The place as a whole is small and felt a little cramped for 2 adults. Alessandra was a good host, and available for any problems. The immediate surroundings are not very pretty. Brancaleone Marina and Razza (where the house is) are a bit run-down. But the countryside around (like most of Calabria) is very pretty. We enjoyed walking up to the abandoned village of Brancaleone Superiore, and visiting the sights to the east (Gerace, Stilo) and west (Reggio Calabria, Scilla). For Reggio and beyond we recommend using the train - wonderful ride along the coast. Walking trails in the Aspromonte are challenging, paths are often badly-waymarked, or not at all. Visiting the turtle sanctuary in Brancaleone station (!) is a must!

La casa era indipendente e silenziosa.

Siamo rimaste molto deluse da questa sistemazione, che a nostro avviso non rispecchia affatto il punteggio così elevato presente sulla piattaforma. La casetta si trova in una zona poco curata, con strade sterrate piene di buche. Ogni sera, proprio all’ora di cena, era impossibile godersi la veranda a causa di un forte odore di letame proveniente dalle stalle delle campagne vicine. Le asciugamani che abbiamo trovato all’arrivo emanavano un cattivo odore, probabilmente perché non erano state asciugate correttamente (abbiamo segnalato il problema e ci sono state sostituite). L’aria condizionata è posizionata proprio di fronte al letto, rendendone l’uso molto scomodo. Il forno a microonde era inutilizzabile, arrugginito e vecchio. Il lavandino del bagno aveva il tappo bloccato, impedendo il normale deflusso dell’acqua. Il box della doccia in bagno era vecchio e rovinato, con i pannelli duri da far scorrere e difficilissimi da chiudere: risultava davvero scomodo e poco funzionale, inoltre tra le marmellatine messe a disposizione degli ospiti, ne abbiamo trovate diverse già scadute. Un altro grosso disagio: non potevo nemmeno aprire bene la finestra della cucina, perché imparte ostruita da piante rampicanti che bloccavano l'apertura delle imposte. Infine, ci aspettavamo un’ospitalità diversa: l’host è stato molto distante e non ci ha dato alcun consiglio utile o indicazione, né prima né durante il soggiorno. Nel complesso, un’esperienza deludente: ci aspettavamo servizi ben più curati e professionali.
