L'emplacement est digne pour séjourner en couple, la vue sur le bassin par la fenêtre est parfaite. Facile accès au Parking (sur la rue).

Once you make it in to the flat it is surprisingly quiet and pleasant.

After paying the non refundable charge for the property you are then expected to provide a further £200.00 deposit, by way of an earmark against your bank card. Fortunately I had the available funds but if I was a traveller on a budget this may have caused real problems. The "parking" is difficult to say the least, thankfully for us I know Castelnaudary very well and was comfortable going round Castel`s one way system until I found a spot to park on the busy main road outside the bedsit. The location is on the main road in to the town, on the opposite side to the canal basin. There is only a view to the canal basin due to a gap in the streets buildings. We were not initially provided with a key for the outside street door and were locked in on one occasion. we did get a key when we complained. The bedsit is on the first floor, up stairs that have no banister rail, little natural light and an electric light on a timer switch which switches off whilst you are struggling upstairs with your luggage, leaving you to grope in the darkness. This place is no good for anyone with mobility problems. The bedsit is generously provided with scattered sweets, ornaments and strange herbal teabags, it is however spartan in cooking utensils. The lighting is inadequate, not uncommon in French hotels but still a nuisance. The wiring on the bedside lamps is faulty and I replaced the bulb in one of them.
