Perfect and extraordinary

This was just the most perfect stay. We came a family with 2 young boys for 2 nights and would have stayed even more. Crossing the bridge over the lake, and then staying on the Island, particularly at Dana's charming place was extraordinary. The restaurant too was great, local, tasty. We would love to come again!

In the pictures from the balcony, there's a garden, but it is private and inaccessible during the stay.

This accommodation was exceptional with great views of the lake and very unique 👌 Right above the restaurant. The restaurant and the apartment themselves were nicely and uniquely decorated.

Incredible, unique location with a very helpful host.

The apartment is in a unique position. Above a small farming community on an island within a lake, you have to walk over a foot bridge for the last 600 meters or so. It is surrounded by plants that pelicans nest in. They catch hot air and soar into the blue sky. Damn cool. Never seen anything like it. The island is walkable within 1.5 hours, but good shoes might be recommended. There are ruins from Greek Orthodox Monasteries there that are very cool. The host was always reachable on the phone and always had recommendations for us. We had an issue with the water (discussed below) but the host immediately provided us with bottled water and even refunded us the day we had the issue. We didn't need to ask! Very professional.

The water line was broken by some construction in the area during our stay. It wasn't the fault of the host. They helped us and even gave us a refund. Just as a heads up, the property is a bit buggy. Also be prepared to be relatively isolated from commercial options like a grocery store.

The house is beautiful, location near the marvelous lake with amazing morning view. It has everything you need in order to cook and eat your meals. Please note you can't reach the house with your vehicle, but walk something like 500 meters on a walking bring.

What a special place! If you are looking for a place to relax a few days, that is a place I would highly recommend. The apartment is upstairs from the restaurant and the food is also exceptional. The room is very large with a great view over the lake. There is also a full kitchen but no shop on the island, so you either have to be organised or enjoy the local food. The family who own and run the business are great: friendly, helpful and speak English.
