Cabin is very comfortable and relaxing with great views of the Peshtigo river They have kayaks and canoes on property for guests to use Rick and Annette are very good hosts and they respond quickly to any needs

Our stay at DASLR was beyond our expectations. The house was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. A mix of new and classic cabin makes for a perfect vacation home. Even in record-high temps, the house was cool and comfortable (and the river was a great place for a cooling swim!) The house was fully appointed with everything we needed. I was especially appreciative of the quality kayaks available. I paddle often, and there is a big difference between a cheap boat and a mid-range one. We were able to meet the owner, who clearly takes pride in maintaining his beautiful properties, and he had great suggestions for eating and exploring. This is not a touristy area, but there are endless possibilities for hiking, swimming, fishing, and paddling. We saw a wide variety of wildlife, spending a lot of time riverside watching an otter, herons, loons, deer, turtles, etc. It was very quiet with few people on the river, and anyone who passed by was friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The squeaky clean cabin has Northwoods charm with lots of modern conveniences. Plenty of places to sit outside and watch the river flow by. We enjoyed using the firepit, and sitting in the gazebo during a light rain.
