Kwezi Cottage at The Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort Naivasha

All was great

Absolutely loved the location of this cottage, right in the heart of lodge. We saw Animals within the Lodge and came very close to a Zebra that was just chilling around the cottages, it was awesome. The cottage has a lovely well maintained greenery area and well covered parking for the cars. There is ample lounging spots most preferable the huge terrace and private sitting area below the terrace. It was also easy to order food stuff as the house manager took our shopping list, bought the food for us and had the same delivered. I could go on and on, bottom line, the cottage comfort and ambience of the lodge, amazing. Ohh and we were able to fit a team of 7 people.

I loved the location, the surroundings and environment. Quiet, serene, peaceful, clean, nice rooms and the privacy. A very relaxing weekend getaway. Loved that the cottage accommodates 8pax as well. The look and feel of the cottage was good and comfortable Loved that the housekeeper Sarah had closed the windows early and told us not to leave the doors open because of the mosquitoes that was kind and good quick thinking. Well stocked on pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Beds comfortable and bedding warm and extra blankets provided including hot water bottles. Love that each room has its own bathroom absolutely great. This cottage has an extra room where a chef or nanny can stay. Lots of living spaces upstairs and a semi outdoor area with huge windows that was extra lovely. Lots of sockets for plugging in all our multiple gadgets. The trees, foliage and plants amazing and they camouflage the cottages so well adding to the privacy.

The mosquitoes and that no information was given to carry insect spray or repellant and that there are so many of them. The wooden spoons in the house are only geared to making ugali they are flat and you need a variety of wooden spoons. Towels not so great and there is no where in the bathrooms to place guests personal bathroom items. No extra toilet paper provided luckily we brought our own extra as there is nothing worse than running out of toilet paper. On booking.com was told to pay at site but received a call to pay via Mpesa a deposit before we left. I think that needs to be made clear and well communicated when the booking is made. The gentleman Dennis who was dealing with our booking definitely needs training on customer experience and representing the brand aptly. He informed me through a text sent at 639am that we had to leave the cottage at 10am. I could have missed the message and also 639am really? He just needs training and better communication especially since there are 60 cottages on the property to choose from. I was wondering with all the lovely trees around if there is one that can be planted to repel the mosquitoes? We had a power black out and the generator does not reach the property and the back up light was not working.
