ヨーコのお宿 わくわく

We paid extra to have dinner cooked for us in addition to breakfast. We very much enjoyed dining with our hosts, getting to know them, and learning Japanese culture. Our hosts were delightful, and the food we ate there was the best we'd experienced in all of Japan. It was excellent to be in a semi-rural suburban home, out of the big city. We had hired a car, but if you didn't want to do that, the train station was only a kilometre away.

Sleeping upstairs was no problem for us, but it could be a problem if you have difficulty with stairs.

It is definitely one of the best family lodge during our 5 weeks travel trip in Japan. Yoko-san was very kind and generous host. She made us feel welcome at our first met. She prepared amazing breakfast for three of us and it felt like a three course meal at a beautiful Japanese garden overlooking rice field and snow mountains. It was one of the highlights of our trip with beautiful memories. Thank you Yoko-san!

Property is clean and comfortable.

This was truly one of the most authentic and memorable experiences we’ve ever had. Yoko and Koryu are the sweetest and kindest hosts you could imagine. Their little house is incredibly clean and cosy, with a beautiful view of the Japanese Alps that makes the whole stay feel very special. Yoko was always so responsive and prepared a wonderful Japanese breakfast, even thoughtfully accommodating me as a vegetarian. One of the most special moments was Koryu teaching us how to mindfully and traditionally enjoy a Japanese meal. It was such a unique and meaningful experience. We shared many laughs together and were deeply touched by their genuine warmth and hospitality. It felt less like staying somewhere and more like being welcomed into their home. We left feeling incredibly grateful for this unforgettable experience and the beautiful memories we made there. Without a doubt, we would stay again in a heartbeat, simply because of Yoko and Koryu.

There was honestly nothing we didn’t like about our stay.
