About this house rental
This 1700 sq ft 3 bedroom 2.5 bath townhouse is a great base station for hitting the beaches on Padre Island. Waves Waterpark (formerly Schlitterbahn) is walkable at the end of the street and two great beaches are 4 minutes and 7 minutes away. Port Aransas is an 18 minute straight shot and its very easy from here to get off the island and to better and more affordable food (for example run to Rudy's BBQ in about 10 minutes). We use this primarily for our family as an escape but also host!
We wanted this place to be comfortable and not overwhelmingly beachy. We put in nice memory foam mattresses, a 60 inch Roku TV (and a 42 inch upstairs), some artificial turf in the private backyard and an inflatable kids pool, a nice washer and dryer for your towels etc. We've added some things that make a big difference like a fry-daddy so you can affordably fry up your own fish and shrimp and save $$$.
We are actually in the Austin area most of the time but available by app and phone. Our property manager is also in the area if you need her.
This is a laid back island atmosphere street.
You can walk to some food and the water park but you normally just drive right onto the beach here which is actually easier than walkable because of course you always have stuff with you when you go to the beach.
For pets we ask that you let us know about each of your pets and tell us stuff like whether they shed, if they chew, if they are not fully potty trained, and if you will be leaving them in a crate when you leave. For shorter stays we ask for a $200 deposit per pet and we normally double that for longer stays (more than a week). Half of the deposit is refundable if the cleaners don't feel like they need to do a deeper clean to deal with hair, urine, smells etc and there isn't any pet damage.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is comfortable, well decorated, and has everything we could have needed. Only minutes from a beautiful beach, a golf cart for easy to/from, a hot tub, and a huge TV to watch while relaxing on the comfy couches after soaking in the sun all day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon.

Overall was a very nice place. Parking was iffy for 2 vehicles because of the neighboring people. Back patio was covered in debris from the bushes along with inside of hot tub. Would definitely book again.

The hot tub was not cleaned, there was a lot of sand, lots of flies and lots of mini frogs which was uncomfortable be to outside to enjoy. We got a refund because we couldn't use it the first day, we only used it twice. The pantry was not organized, previous renters left items but it was not organized. The host sent me a message with check out instructions which included, loading dishwasher, putting towels in washer and starting washing machine, emptying pillow cases and throwing out trash which we usually do. If we didn't they would charge us an extra fee. Keep in mind I already paid a cleaning fee. Magazine was chewed by previous pet, host said it was from previous renters but unsure why they didn't toss it then. It is VERY VERY SPACIOUS, says up to 7 guest (5 beds) but was charged extra for having more than 5 guest which included a baby. So careful when you book that, which I accepted but thought that was odd. On the Last night the kitchen ceiling light was leaking water making kitchen very slippery so we put a towel on floor. I saw roaches in restrooms as well.
