It could have been cleaner (crumbs on the table and the floor). At one point water started dripping through the ceiling, but it was quickly fixed. Also the bed is squeaky.

Lastovo is an amazing island. The house is next to the sea with crystal clear, calm waters. Wonderful swimming. I also went hiking and biking. Jagoda and Radko are great hosts.

Pasadur stay.

View from balcony is amazing. - Location is on very quite side of the island which helps if you want to have peaceful rest. - Walking distance to all amenities in Pasadur. - Beach is just in front of house with nice arrangement of deck chairs for all guests to enjoy.

- Bed mattresses should be upgraded for more comfortable sleep.

Get a taste of life you always (maybe?) dreamed about!

Despite a hole in his pants, Ratko is a skilled fisherman and supplies Jagoda with fresh sea creatures. This landlubber by birth takes pride from all his catches as they become the subject of his paintings. Jagoda aka Strawberry (still on trial) magically transforms them into amazing dishes, to the joy of many happy guests, us included. The fruits of Lastovo get to live in her preserves and home-made grappa's accompanying delicious meals served on the rooftop of their house. Inside, next to the huge grill you learn how meals should be made! Ratko plays the guitar while Jagoda makes the pancakes, then we look at old family pictures and she laughs like crazy. Apparently a mad cow disease runs in the family. She goes to Zaglav early in the morning to forge herbs and random stuff for her installations, she claims. The chairs we’re sitting on may not be perfect but the orahovica certainly get’s close! Perfect views from our balcony, the proximity of deep forests, starry skies by night, milky way reflected in the water, long stretches of rocky beaches and secluded bays, perfect sunsets and even better sunrises, echo of a midnight whistle. All that and more is what you get in Jagoda’s apartmani which we found difficult to leave after a few days. The gifts we got as we were leaving surprised us immensely, but we’re running out of the plum jam already. Empty jars and hunger of new experiences will inevitably drive us back on Jadrolinija to Lastovo!

Apartment could get better cutlery (sharper knives) and a coffee making equipment, but for that price we can't really complain.

Exceptional

Google Lastovo and there you have it: "a beautiful island", "splendid nature", "gorgeous", "picturesque". All true. But we rented a car and drove through pretty much all of the island and let me tell you: Pasadur is the nicest and the greenest place to stay in. And Jagoda seemed, at least to me, like the best place to stay in Pasadur. Secluded, at the end of the village, yet just a few minutes walk to the bridge. If you're looking for the calm in the middle of the nature, there you have it! Plus the building is very nice, nestled in a hill and surrounded by a small garden. And amazingly decorated - the hosts are creative souls and make really beautiful and cozy art with local material such as wood washed out by the sea, corals and so on (but plenty of paintings, too!). And they are really friendly and helpful, f. ex. they drove us from the ferry in Ubli late in the evening, and back to the ferry on the day of departure. They also offer a plentiful menu with local homemade food - we didn't use this opportunity, as we cooked for ourselves mostly, but it smelled really good everytime. The aparment was clean and nicely furnished, with a huge terrace (marvellous view) and a big sofa in the kitchen that could be made into bed. Antimosquitos nets in the windows. And it was beautiful, too - tuned in all shades of blue, quite calming. Private beach right down the house, just some dozens steps away. A splendid private beach, I should say, surrounded by trees which offer a good deal of shade on the "upper" platform and sun right next to the water. There is a good and gradual entry in the sea, without big or sharp rocks or cliffs - you just walk right in. Almost no sea urchins or sea cucumbers, btw. Also, the beach is equipped with some 10 (at least) comfortable and adjustable loungers. It's really quite a paradise.

Mind you, the accomodation is great and these are much smaller things in comparison with the above written: 1. I would appreciate a tea-kettle or a teapot. Although tea is not a big thing in Croatia, I think a lot of guests just miss a chance to make a bigger amount of tea than just one small cup (but this is not just a thing in Jagoda, but overall quite common in Croatian usual appartments). Also, something to cook coffee in would be nice - a small cezve, maybe. We had to prepare our tea or coffee in a cooking pot (which could be done easily, of course, but still was a bit unpractical). 2. Beds: nice and wide, but the mattresses were quite supple and moving - some strong springs in there! It all depends on your taste in mattresses. We both enjoy a firmer ones and didn't appreciate these ones tended to overbend our bodies a bit. But I repeat: it depends on which type of bed you prefer to sleep, maybe these ones would suit you perfectly. Also, there is just one big fine blanket for both sleepers - or a really warm and quite old one. If you prefer to sleep under your own and don't like to share with your fellowsleeper (or prefer to sleep under something else than a really fine sheet basically), maybe consider to bring something of your own. 3. Our apartment (nr. 4, or the blue one) had its advantages - that huge terrace f. ex., as it was in the very top floor of the building. However, it was right next to the common place where the hosts and their friends tended to sit and chat in the evenings. The apartment is separated only by the entrance door which are far from sound-proof, unfortunately. So if you stay in that apartment, be prepared to here almost everything that goes on in there. Which is nothing horrible, just people talking and laughing, having a good time. But if you are an early sleeper, this might bother you. However, it wasn't like that all of the nights and on the terrace we heard almost nothing. I

Such a lovely location! Only meters away from the sea, great views of the bay, surrounded by a vegetable and fruit garden and lots of trees. Very welcoming and friendly hosts! I can fully recomend staying here.
