About this house rental
Have coffee with mini Highland cows Boone & Crockett, gather fresh eggs from the coop, and watch the sun set over Lake Mason from a wraparound deck — all 15 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. This 4,500 sq ft renovated dairy barn sleeps 16 across 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths, with a pool-table game room in the old milking parlor, a stone firepit, and a private mowed trail to the lake. Built for reunions, retreats, and getaways your group will talk about for years.
Sleep 16 in real beds — Bedroom 1: king. Bedrooms 2 & 3: queen + twin each. Bedroom 4: two queens. Bedroom 5: four bunk beds the kids fight over (in a good way). Three full bathrooms, including a soaking tub.
The Farm Experience — Meet Boone & Crockett, our mini Highland calves, and our Rhode Island Red hens. Brush the highlanders, collect eggs for breakfast, and let the kids be farm kids for a weekend. Guests tell us this is the part they remember.
The Game Room — Half of the original milking parlor is now a pool table, carpet ball, and TV lounge decorated with pieces from local farms. Three open levels mean teens, kids, and grandparents each get their own space — and the long farm table seats everyone.
Outside — Stone firepit, horseshoes, a huge mowed yard, and a private trail to Mason Lake at the west end of the property — bring your kayak, canoe, or fishing boat. Grill and eat on the deck while the sun drops over the lake.
The Location — 15 minutes to Wisconsin Dells waterparks, Cascade Mountain skiing, and Woodside Sports Complex; a 16-minute walk to Foxy's for a Friday fish fry. Far enough out that the loudest thing at night is the crickets.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The space was well maintained, thoughtfully stocked, and felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived.The location was great, and we especially appreciated how easy the check-in and communication process was with the host. Everything was smooth and stress-free. The property had a cozy atmosphere while still giving us plenty of space to unwind and enjoy our time together.We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay!Also bonus: the host Matt was amazing (even brought us fresh eggs!)

I would give this property 10 stars if I could. Our group of friends reminisced, laughed and made new memories … and came to a realization that we all want chickens and mini highlands.

Had a wonderful weekend at the Cozy Barn! Owner was very gracious with refilling firewood on a daily basis and keeping in Communication with me directly which was amazing. Location is extremely clean and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place to all family and friends! A

We loved staying at The Bent Beam Barn! The host was fantastic! We were able to check in early and he was great at communicating. We loved scheduling time to see the cows one of the mornings. We stayed with a group of adults and there was lots to do, including a fire pit, pool table and carpet ball. Had the weather been warmer, there were also outdoor games and lake access. We would definitely recommend the Bent Beam Barn and would also consider booking again in the future!
