PrivateLodge - Villa with pool on the banks of the Marne

This fully equipped Villa was a perfect stay for our family retreat of 17 people including nine under the age of 21 The pool was a lovely respite after a hot day in the city. The villa is located conveniently to an RER stop, which takes you directly to downtown Paris. The villa is fully equipped. It is not air conditioned, but that was unnecessary even in the very hot days. The villa was exceptionally clean upon the arrival and well stocked with all the supplies and kitchen equipment needed. We highly recommended it. is a delightful place to stay for a large group away from but accessible to the city of Paris.

We stayed at this villa as a group of 15, including grandparents and three families with kids aged 3–12. The layout was ideal—each family had their own space near their children, and the bedrooms were comfy with good storage, cozy beds, and nice showers. The heated towel rail was a great touch for drying towels and swimwear.The kitchen was well-equipped with ample crockery and cups. While indoor space was limited, the outdoor area, BBQ, and amazing pool more than made up for it. The safety fencing around the pool was perfect for families with young children.The on-site Groundskeeper was excellent—responsive and helpful. The location was great too: just a mile from town and the river walk, with easy access to a market, bakeries, and supermarkets. We launched our SUP across the road and used the villa as a base to visit Paris and Disneyland, about 40 minutes away.A few small downsides:• We didn’t realize that not all of the garden space belonged to the villa. While the front yard and pool area were private, the grass area beyond the pool was shared with homes near the main gate. There was a trampoline that we assumed was for us to use, but it wasn't part of the property. It would have been helpful if a welcome pack explained this.• Patio and front doors were tricky to lock.• Only one key and no key safe—not ideal for a large group.• Communication with the host could be improved.Overall, a fantastic spot for a large group—we’d definitely recommend it.

The house was nice. The kitchen appliances were great although we did not use them that much except the microwave and the fridge. The house was big enough for the 16 ladies. It just needed to be swept up and mopped before we got there. There were ants and spiders in the rooms on second and third floor and the hallway. There were no televisions hooked up and available to watch. The internet was shotty. A few of the sinks and toilets were not working properly. No extra toilet paper was left in the house. It would have been nice if there was a full body mirror somewhere in the house. The swimming pool was nice although we did not get in it. There were no instructions upon entry. It would have gotten a better rating if the house did not have ants and spiders. They should have been taken care of before we got there.

We had a group with us of 15 people - so we needed this large home. Size wise, it was ok. However, that’s about it. Let’s start off with no A/C. During our time there it was 90f / 32c. It was miserably hot. The property provided some tiny desk fans of which a majority were broken. Knowing that it’s a heat wave - you would expect the property manager to have the doors and windows open for our arrival. Nope. We arrived to a house that had been baking in the sun for days. When I asked about the lack of fans and the number of fans broken - he said he would have some sent over. They never delivered extra fans. Getting Ubers into the city of Paris is no easy task either. Because you are on the outskirts of the city - Uber drivers are pretty scarce. The host only provided one SINGLE GARBAGE BAG. Can you imagine staying somewhere with 15 people and having one trash bag? Overall, just a really poor experience for the money paid.

This villa is sensational. The villa is pretty cool, you can manage even on the hottest days in Paris. From the amazing pool to the well-sized rooms and interior design - the villa is the perfect place to host your friends/family or business colleagues for a company retreat.

The Organization of the booking and arrival until our exit happened without any issues. The residence is beautiful as per the pictures. Inside bedrooms were practical and clean and towels provided. Kitchen setup was suitable. The second fridge downstairs very useful. We enjoyed the outdoor also overlooking the front pool. Perfect for partying with friends and family. Best.
