Nice seaside accommodation in Strömstad's southern archipelago Welcome to a nice, sunny accommodation on Öddö, an island just south of Strömstad. Here you live in a pleasant environment with coastal forests, the sea and swimming opportunities just around the corner. Öddö is an island where there are plenty of nice walking trails in lovely environments. Here you can enjoy everything from straight pine forests, sandy beaches to weathered rock outcrops and shingle fields. The islands have several nature reserves and also a national park, Kosterhavet National Park, one of Sweden's most species-rich areas. The cottage with both a seaside location and close to the city is a perfect starting point for exploring Strömstad and the surrounding area. For those of you who want to explore the sea and islands with your own boat, there is also the possibility of borrowing a mooring (size, 2.88 x 6.00 m) by contacting the owner. The cottage is on one level with an open kitchen equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. The living room with dining area, sofa group and wood-burning stove has a large window overlooking nature. There are three bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other a 120 cm single bed and the third with a sofa bed for one person. In the guest cottage on the plot there is a bunk bed for two. Please note that burning in the wood-burning stove in the guest cottage is not allowed. If you want, there is also a sofa bed in the living room if you prefer to sleep here. Bathroom with underfloor heating and shower. Washing machine is in the adjacent garage building. On the sunny lawn with patio there is outdoor furniture and a grill where you can enjoy cozy breakfasts or relaxing barbecue evenings. Maybe sit and discuss today's adventures or plan for tomorrow's excursions while the sun goes down. The lawn is well-sized so there is room for play and games. On the lawn is also a small annex with a bunk bed. From the cottage it is walking distance to the small cottage area's very own swimming area behind the hills via pine forest down to the sea, if you want larger sandy beaches then just take the bus outside to Saltö a few islands further out in the archipelago. In Strömstad there is a large selection of activities, rich restaurant life, pleasant shopping in small shops that are located close to each other or why not just sit and enjoy all the boats in the harbor area. If you want to experience more islands and archipelago environments, there are several different boat charters and boat trips from the harbor in the center out to several archipelago islands such as Furholmen or Kosteröarna but also to neighboring Norway. It is also possible to rent a boat or kayak for your own explorations. For those interested in golf, there are several 18-hole courses in the area.
