About this house rental
The Williamsburg Sampler is a traditional bed & breakfast and #1 and sometimes #2 on Tripadvisor. While we are a bed & breakfast the house is often rented by single groups of families and friends traveling together. The Williamsburg Sampler features four guest rooms, two suites and two chamber rooms.
The suites will make you feel extra special with King size four poster bed and 18th century colonial decor, wingback chair, premium cable television, and private bath with steam shower. These suites lead through French doors to the second room with additional seating, a wet bar sink and refrigerator in an antique piece, fireplace and 2nd televisions. These suites also feature pull out coaches for additional sleeping accommodations. Again through French doors and out to the "RoofTop Garden," with a view of the garden, woods, and grapevine covered Arbor. These suites can comfortably accommodate guests four each.
The Chamber Rooms are an equally pleasant room with king size four-poster pineapple carved bed, 18th century colonial decor, wingback chair, television/fireplace and private bath with Steam Shower. The entire house will sleep 12+ guests. We also have kiddie cots, air mattresses and porta cribs available.
All our bathrooms have been completely remodeled with Jetted Shower which allows spray nozzles to blanket you with a cone shaped spray to provide a more soothing and relaxing shower experience. Wifi is available throughout the house along with an Internet ready computer & printer available in our large sitting room.
The Williamsburg Sampler is located three blocks from Colonial Williamsburg and the Merchants Square Shops. (a very pleasant walk through the historic William & Mary Campus) We are located just minutes from Busch Gardens, Water Country, the Prime Outlet Shops, the Williamsburg Winery, Jamestown & Yorktown. We also have plenty of golf within a short drive.
A Full Regional Buffet Breakfast is offered each morning. We are caterers and prepare a wonderful breakfast. Additionally, always have freshly baked cookies, coffee, hot chocolate, lite snacks and soft drinks available. Daily housekeeping is also included.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The breakfasts were incredible and our dogs had a wonderful time as well! We look forward to visiting again- my husband said it was “The Best Father’s Day ever!”

I booked this entire B&B in August, 2025 for our family of 11 to vacation in June, 2026. All in all, we had a wonderful family vacation. The house itself was large enough to comfortably accommodate us (including the dining room table!). We cooked dinner most nights and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was absolutely ideal to drive to historic Williamsburg and surrounding sites, grocery stores, etc. Onsite washer/dryers were available, worked well and detergents were available. The various staff we interacted with were very friendly.However, it was only by accident and upon our arrival that we discovered a student was living in the attic during our stay. If for no other reason than courtesy, but definitely for everyone’s safety to avoid an unexpected and potentially confrontational or dangerous encounter, it should be disclosed prior to booking the entire house that students may also be living there during your stay and may share common spaces with you and your family (front door, entry area, stairwell and hallway to bedrooms). In addition, there were several household issues that didn’t get resolved until the third day of our stay. Communication with the owner was poor while trying to resolve the toilet not flushing in one bedroom, and the air conditioning not working in the same bedroom, the tv’s and remotes in all the bedrooms not working, and the ice maker not working. All together, it made us feel that they weren’t quite ready for our stay.

Perfect location in proximity to downtown Williamsburg and nearby resort surpassed by graciousness of host and attention to detail. Would definitely stay again.
