Clean room. Beautiful rolling hills setting, perfect for young people and weddings. Easy access to points of interest. Best for warmer seasons.

Not suitable for senior citizens due to awkward steps and stairs to all rooms and dining facilities. Poor parking areas for cabins and studios.

Room was not clean, very dusty, cobwebs everywhere, pink soap scum in shower and jacuzzi tub and only some of the jets worked. bed was very hard, pillows were flat. This was advertised as a luxury room. The only luxury was the toilet that the lid automatically raised when you walked in the bathroom. Light flash and won't stay on. The entire place smells like fabuloso, the room was so bad we had to open the windows. I had 4 and only 2 opened and only 1 had a screen. Then to top it all off the air does not work. We've had in on 65 since we walked in the room and it never got below 72 until late in the night when we reopened the windows and turned the fan on.

Close proximity to our work. The staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed special Thank you to Will & Chelsea. She even organized to get my laundry done.🙏 and kept us well supplied With clean towels. Loved The vast gardens & thank you for the tomatoes .

This property did not work so well for us because we were there for a whole week. we had no place to hang our clothes no hangers or closet. nowhere to put our luggage except on the couch and then there was no place to sit to watch TV because you could not see it from the bed. The room is divided into tow by a step and I had to be extra careful, not falling off it in the night . We had some issues with the fridge making a rattling sound at night so we had to unplug it .they replaced it the next day. ( the fridge that is) also some of the nights we had people sleeping upstairs and it felt very loud. every time they moved around, we could hear them even at night. We had breakfast at the restaurant Saturday morning with our guest. We ordered the poached eggs. Our eggs were overdone, so I had to send mine back, to get re done.but my husband and our guest did not want to wait for them to redo it.The biscuit was also soggy.I hope the evening chef was better.

The atmosphere was great. Chelsie was a lot of help when it came time for check in.

The parking wasn't that great for cabins. We had our elderly mother with us who has some trouble walking and we had to park up the hill. Plus someone blocked the road so we couldn't drive in front to pick her up

First off there is no front desk, allegedly check in instructions are sent via email, however if you booked through booking.com those will never be received by you. Next,is this is marketed as a peaceful resort,with an Indian restaurant and a bar. It is not. This has to be the busiest county road of annoying locals who tailgate and push traffic I have ever seen. Air traffic overhead is also constant with the Regional airport less than five miles away, planes are at less than 1000 feet on approach for landing. I stayed on a Wednesday and the restaurant and bar were both closed,and there were no other guests at the hotel. One woman arrived with her child in a ballerina outfit at some point,which is when I immediately left for dinner. Unless your traveling as a group this is not a place I would recommend to anyone. It is neither a quiet private resort,or a normal hotel. It's uncomfortable and unacceptable.

Quaint, private and relaxing & beautiful location

We had a late arrival and left early the next morning so we didn’t get to experience all that the resort had to offer. Our room was lovely and spacious. The resort is an older converted home, but has modern and clean bathrooms. Kevin was so helpful and explained the contactless check in process. Would recommend!!

A gem tucked away in the mountains! So looking forward to my next stay!

This is a beautiful converted mansion nestled in the mountains a 10 minute drive from Asheville Airport. The grounds are peaceful and serene, the vistas gorgeous. The staff is kind and welcoming. Upon arriving, I found out that the restaurant wasn’t open until dinner (off season). I had been traveling since early morning and hadn’t eaten and one of the managers offered to go out and get something for me to eat! So above and beyond. I chose to spend the afternoon relaxing and save my appetite for dinner. So glad I did. The food was wonderful, the restaurant lovely and inviting, and Jack, my service was gracious and accommodating. Altogether an outstanding stay!

Disappointing

Cute little cabin

Our cabin on lower portion of two story a frame cabin. Starting at 5:30 a.m. they were loud running, jumping, dog barking from above my lower cabin ceiling ( sounded as if the ceiling was going to fall on top of the bed I was in).. I sent message finally at 8:30 a.m. to manager. I did not receive a reply.This was suppose to be a quite peaceful get away for valentine’s and ended up being a miserable experience. Then, to top off we decided to leave at 9:00 a.m., carried 1/2 luggage to car when returned directly to retrieve the rest the code to get back in the door did not work. I had to call management to reset and allow re entrance. I told manager of all above at this time, his reply was I am sorry, they are a family of 5 staying there. The rules were laid out for all…. I paid for room and had to pay $50 more for my dog. He offered nothing for the ruined stay…. No discount on room, no dinner on us, not even a Starbucks coffee on us.

Overall wonderful 25th wedding anniversary visiting local wineries.

It was a beautiful property. It was close enough to Hendersonville to go have a wonderful breakfast and visit several wineries. Their Elevations Restaurant looks out onto the mountains which is perfect for sunset. The menu was priced reasonable to have just appetizers or full entree. The chef and staff there were extremely friendly. Our meal was cooked perfectly. The bar is very small but the bar manager was over the top super and friendly.

The promised view of our cabin accommodations from both booking.com and their personal web-site shows each room having mountain and river views. Neither of which were true. I really wish they would not show generalized pictures when you are booking so far away. I even upgraded according to booking.com. We had a beautiful forest view with a glimpse of "mud creek". We had a couple of hick ups in the beginning with the room situation but the manager corrected the situation for both things quickly and the rest of our trip was just perfect. The view is beautiful at their restaurant and pool deck just not necessarily from your room. It would have been nice also if they would have put a reminder in their correspondence that the bar and restaurant go together and they are both closed Sunday and Monday's. We like to end the night with a glass of wine, be close to the room, and this was a bit disappointing. They show happy pictures of people and events held at the property which doesn't pertain to the services the regular hotel or cabin guest might want or get to experience on an average stay. I really feel like the descriptions and pictures on both sites should be re-worked. Just state the lower cabins are the smaller size rooms with shared balconies and forest view near walking trail. Then state the upper cabins are two stories with private balconies with sunlight views of the forest. I talked with a hotel guest and they didn't have a mountain or river view either, "not what was depicted on booking.com for the property" according to her. Up-dated or more accurate information would make this place much more successful.

Amazing experience, will definitely be staying again!

I've stayed here twice now with my spouse, we love it! We love the resort feel, the rooms, the hot tub, the restaraunt and the staff!

There were some items in both rooms that needed to be repaired (lights hanging out of the ceiling, no body wash in the shower dispenser). Also the check in process through booking.com needs work for sure. But I'm a business owner and love the idea of the place, in fact i'm fascinated by it and would love the opportunity to meet the owners at some point. I have a mental health/ substance abuse treatment facility in Asheville, NC (Otter House Wellness) and we're building out a similar layout for a new facility in Georgia. I can’t really put into words. It was an experience for sure. We loved that we were able to swim in the evening without worrying about a cutoff time. The staff was amazing. The room was very calm, relaxing and just what we needed. We are renting a cabin and bringing our friends for a couples retreat next time. We stayed in room 103

This was a great, bright place with beautiful views and convenient location.

I was very pleased with our stay at Skylarana. I was looking forward to a getaway in the mountains and that is exactly what it felt like. You could see them from the pool deck and the restaurant area. There was also a beautiful fountain and walking trails. I called ahead to make sure we could do contactless check in and when I asked about the views they changed our studio to a cabin and we loved it. Two gorgeous balconies, one with a swing. It was so quiet and beautiful. The cabin came with a full kitchen, two futon-like couches and a beautiful shower.

The winding staircase between floors would not be good for a guest with any physical difficulties. The bathroom is on the first floor and the bedroom is on second floor.

Small - not good for the family.

It was ok. The actual A-frame house is awesome but we had a a small studio in the back. By the description it sounded great but it really was just meh. They advertised a pull out couch, it was a futon - not the same thing. There was zero privacy - the bathroom door didn’t stay shut and there was no where else to change so unless you had someone holding the door shut you were out of luck. Also, the window was next to the stairs so all night we heard voices and people running up and down the stairs. It was not relaxing, and not a good place to take the family.
