Excellent vacation, just needs a little TLC

For our two nights in the Peak District this location and cottage was perfect.

Very clean, great location, comfortable sitting area, laundry facilities available, automatic gated entrance. There were six of us and we were pleased with our 2 nights stay at Haddon Grove Farm Cottages. A couple of us went for walks in the area, which is beautiful.

The host, location and facilities were high class.

Absolutely everything. The host was super helpful and our family loved everything about the cottage, the location and above all, the kids loved the pool. Will definitely be returning.

Disappointing, very expensive for what it was - cold and uncomfortable.

The property was set in beautiful countryside. The property was very quaint and there was ample parking.

There was no hot water on the first day - for the first 2 days of the stay I was attending a conference. It was very disappointing to not even have hot water on the first day. There was also no manual as to how to put on the heating and how to make sure there was hot water. Whilst the team did try to sort the issue, they diagnosed there to be a problem with the boiler. They attempted to get it fixed however for the Sunday evening and Monday morning there was no heating nor hot water. The temperature outside was a mere 2°C and with the stone walls, it did not feel much warmer inside the property. To say we have paid almost £200 per night to not even have warmth or hot water it most certainly was not value for money and feel very much below our expectations. It would have been more comfortable to stay in a Travelodge if I am honest. It was meant to be a special birthday weekend for my father's 70th and these issues with heating and hot water made it a very stressful trip for him and he was very unhappy with the accomodation.
