This house was everything! We all loved it - I wish we could have stayed longer! We were there in peak fall color and all the huge windows really made it even more beautiful. The kids and adults spent a lot of time in the basement - the kids thought it was the coolest! The kids also enjoyed the trails and exploring and collecting ‘nature’. Such a gem - feels remote while not being far from the city.

Our group stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate and engagement and this home was perfect for our group. The house itself is huge and has multiple different rooms to entertain and relax. The home was stocked with items for the weekend and very clean! The location was 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville and really easy to get too! Anne was a great host and easy to communicate with! Our group loved this home and experience so much, we plan to come back!!!

Beautiful home! I booked this for three of my colleagues and their spouses while attending a conference. They raved about the cleanliness, attention to details that made the home so warm and cozy, and how spacious and accommodating everything was. Everything needed to enjoy their time was supplied from cooking to having fun in the game room, or just sitting around the fire. Thank you Anne, for your quick responses to questions and all of the extra time and effort put into information about the area and trail map. Wonderful experience by all.

This is a special place! The house is so pretty and well done. We loved everything about it! The kitchen is well stocked , the bedrooms are really comfortable, the porch is perfect, and the game room downstairs was excellent with pool, ping pong,shuffleboard and lots of games.We played all of them! The location was excellent- very close to town. We loved Asheville with great hikes/bike rides and some great days at the beer pubs. We will be back.

Absolutely loved this house. The property was secluded and gorgeous. Huge yard with a fire pit and hiking trails. The game room was unbelievable. We stayed with another family and the six kids played in that game room the entire time! It has everything! Well equipped kitchen- has everything you need! Plenty of room for kids — four twins in one room plus a queen size bedroom. So kids had their own floor upstairs. Loved how it was stocked woth toys and games and puzzles too! And location is very central. 15 min to downtown Asheville and close to other areas! Would love to come back!

Redbud retreat was the perfect house for our 10 friends to spend a weekend catching up and enjoying each others company. The house is so spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was ideal for family style meals and the basement game room was a hit among the whole adult group! While the property is a 15ish minute drive to downtown Asheville we were able to call Uber/Lyfts to bring us to/from dinner downtown one night. This place was great and I hope to come back and visit soon!

The host was very communicative and thorough. The house is very private, only 15 minutes to Asheville, and within an hour of many popular destinations for quick half day/day trips. Once you see the house though you may not want to do a day trip. We enjoyed the hiking trail on the property, the fire pit, and the amazing sun room! The house is stocked better than any other property I have stayed in. The basement “fun room” is every child and adults dream. It has every game and activity you could possibly think of to keep the whole group engaged. The bedrooms are spacious and the mattresses are quality (which is always important to me). The pictures don’t do this property justice and exceeded expectations.

Beautiful home in an isolated area - but close enough to Asheville attractions! An unexpected cold front kept our adult group inside where we enjoyed our hosts’ furnishings. An absolutely wonderful property for family gatherings, couples and/or friends get away. The house is close to an Ingles grocery store, a favorite of ours, and Asheville is a very easy drive. Our sons were impressed with the diversity of the game room in the basement. So many choices to choose, but we stayed with darts, pool, and ping pong. There is even a magnetic dart board for children. A lot of thought and planning went into this area. If you like to walk and explore, the woods around this property hold many surprises. Watch out for dinosaurs, gnomes and Bigfoot. My grandsons and I thoroughly enjoyed our daily adventures. The timber room with the loft was a favorite family gathering spot and a great area to work, if need be. We also loved the openness of the kitchen/dining and living area. Since this was our family Christmas gathering I was very impressed tgat the owners decorated for Christmas. We were very impressed with this property and would definitely return.

We are a group of 10 women over 50. We had the most wonderful time in your home. It was so spacious, beautifully decorated with all kinds of interesting items and comfortable spaces. Bedrooms are gorgeous and large. Location felt very secluded and wooded but actually 5 mins from anything you would need and many restaurants! Biltmore and downtown Asheville not far either. Would recommend to everyone, and will come again!

This home is immaculate and so much more spacious and beautifully appointed than the pictures give it credit for. The whole home was absolutely whimsical for our children, ages 2-10, with the spiral staircase and loft "library" and the sprawling finished basement with so many games and the kids' bedroom with just the right finishing touches and lighting. It rained most of our stay, so we only got to do a little hiking on the property's trails but this was a great feature we would love to come back and explore. Showers were good, beds were comfortable, and the all seasons porch was so relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, including children's items, and we really appreciated the ease of check out. This location was chosen for its convenience to a mountain wedding venue we were in town for, but it was close to Asheville downtown and nearby attractions, although it was definitely an out of town feel. We enjoyed being snuggled in the woods, but my only wish would have been some mountain views. But then it would have been perfect, and nothing is perfect. :) The only other thing was the wifi was very spotty, but we expected this as it was well conveyed, and honestly, it was a gift because it's the perfect home to completely unplug in. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return.
