About this house rental
Summary:
3/2.5 home. Sleeps 10. Master: King, Full. 2nd bedroom: 2 Twins. 3rd bedroom: 1 Twin Trundle and 1 Full. No Pets Allowed. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email.
The Space:
THE LAKE IS BACK, the damn has been repaired. Current pictures taken March 2024.
Beautiful newly remodeled 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath in a quiet residential home on Lake Dunlap (the dam broke in May 2019 so the lake is low but good news, the dam has been repaired and the lake is expected to fill up by Summer 2023, at which point the lake will be more conducive to swimming). Photos taken March of 2020 reflect the water level at that time. The dock is also a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or your morning coffee. There is also a canoe for your enjoyment! This home is only 5 miles to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn and the Comal River!
Unwind in the comfortable living room with Free WIFI and Roku TV (no cable). Fully equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. Dining table with seating for 6. There are 4 bar stools at the kitchen island. Half bathroom conveniently located off the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king bed, double bed and Roku TV and en suite bathroom with stand up shower. Upstairs there are 2 additional bedrooms and a lovely coffee nook station with a Keurig so you do not have to down stairs for that first cup! There is a balcony upstairs to have a glass or wine or your morning coffee and breathe in the fresh air while enjoying the lake views. The first bedroom has 2 twin beds and the other bedroom has a full bed and a twin trundle bed. Both bedrooms have a Roku TV. There is a guest bathroom with walk in shower conveniently located between the 2 guests bedrooms. This house sleeps 10 but you are welcome to bring an air mattress to accommodate 2 more guests. Never to exceed 12 guests total. This property has room for 3-4 vehicles.
The back deck is the place to be with seating and a charcoal grill. The back yard leads to the dock, the back yard has a fire pit (firewood not provided) and is a great place for star gazing. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property.
NO Smoking, NO parties. NO pets. No trailers, campers or RV's allowed. No portable grills or open flames. Family friendly home with no tolerance for bad behavior. This house has a maximum occupancy of 12 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500.

Clean, spacious, and perfectly located! Quick trip to the river chute and downtown shopping and eats! Backyard view of the river was stunning and we loved spending time in the kitchen! Heads-up for soft bed lovers…the main bedroom mattress was very firm. Still a great time and house!

We had an amazing time staying at this house for our end of Summer family vacation. Before arriving, I had some questions and the management company (New Braunfels Escapes) was very quick to respond and very nice, helpful. The house has a perfect layout for large groups (We had 10 people). There's plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. It's a really pretty house in a great location. We floated the Comal River twice and went to Schlitterbaun - each about a 10 minute drive. It was great being right on the water so the kids could fish and swim.

The home itself was beautiful. For the price we paid, wr we’re extremely disappointed in the maintenance put into the home. The stove was cracked and we could only use one side. That side did not work. The dishwasher did not wash. The coffee pot button was broken, the refrigerator did not keep any of of items cold enough. We had to freeeze things to protect them, Also, the railing around the deck were loose and leaning. They have a false sense of security, all of these things were a huge inconvenience for our large party. Very unsatisfied and paid a large amount for this rental that these items should have been replaced or repaired to working order.
