Excellent service and friendly environment.

I liked everything.

The staff were friendly and responsive, the location was perfect as it wasn't near the busiest areas but it was close enough. And I love the decorations.

The internet was really bad, but in my experience I think it's a thing in many places in otavalo. Also there was this weird thing with the lock in which you couldn't add an extra layer of security because of the risk of the door getting stuck, and they charged you $20 if that happened. To me that is an inconvenience for customers and a bad design in general. It wasn't a big deal if you read the warning sign but it's not the best experience either way.

Good location and nice decorations on the walls. Generally a clean place.

The staff didn't give us towels unfortunately, even after asking.

Cheap, central, clean, comfy bed and good hot water shower.

Staff is very cold/unfriendly. WiFi is useless - do not come here if you need WiFi (EDIT: this is true at least for the top floor and terrace where I was situated. In the reception area it is ok.) Booking says there’s a kitchen but that’s false - there is a kitchen but you're not allowed to use it. So there’s not even a stove or kettle to use. There are hardly any common spaces. There’s no bar or shop. Rooms can be up 6 flights of stairs and there's no elevator. The rooftop terrace has a hammock but nothing else; no chairs or tables or anything. EDIT: after talking to the staff, they offered me to use the kitchen for ONE meal a day. They said they'd fix the Wifi issue - the fix was moving me to a room closer to the router but I didn't want to move rooms.
