Despite a slight language barrier (as my French is very limited) Sylvie was attentive to our needs/comfort from start to the end. Sylvie and her dogs were also friendly to our toddler who enjoyed their company a lot. The room was as advertised and had all the comfort you could ask for. Did I also mention breakfast? Whilst simple, each item on the table stood out on its own and we really enjoyed the three breakfasts that we had at the Chateau. The Chateau is also very quiet due to its location and we (including our 2 year old daughter) slept 11 hours each night.
Nothing really. Only if you are travelling with a toddler and it is Sunday (as it was our case), we would suggest you arrange some dinner food for your child/yourselves in the morning as most things are closed even in Falaise and the Chateau does not have dinner dining options. Sylvie was quick to help us with a ready made home meal that her daughter sells (for a cost) and this was delicious.

Wow, wow, wow. What a unique wonderful experience. silvia is a great host, the 17th century mansion is absolutely beautiful, with vast garden and private forest.

A magnificent 18th century mansion with its stunning spacious bedrooms and communal rooms became our home for 5 days. It is set within the most stunning Suisse Normande countryside and boasts of its very own private park. Ideal for taking advantage of the very well mantained hiking trails, some of which start at the very entrance of the property! Kind and warm hospitality offered by the lady of the mansion Mme Sylvie!

Lovely gîte with breakfast and dinner (at additional cost) in the main chateau. Sylvie was a wonderful hostess with nothing too much trouble and cooked two delicious meals for our group.
We had a small issue with no hot water in the gite but Sylvie got this sorted very quickly after we told her - thank you.

The location was lovely for our needs but the breakfast was very basic with just a lot of bread and no choices.
The room did not have convenient furniture to sit or have tea, no proper table and kettle. The bed in the main bedroom was great but in the other bedroom was short and not very comfy.

The owners are very helpful. If you are willing to talk or get help they are very helpful, but you also feel like being in your own they respect your space.
It’s a historic property with an amazing garden/forest

Beautifully designed and renovated specious château, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and woods.
10 minutes drive to the city of Fallaise, supermarkets, restaurants and shops.
Marc and Syllvie are very welcoming, kind and attentive hosts. They treat their guests with warmth, hospitality and attention. We enjoyed amazing delicious breakfasts in large dining room overlooking the beautiful gardens. Homemade crapes, croissants, cakes, yogurts, and jams were a special treat.
Thank you Marc and Syllvie for making our stay at your beautiful château so unique and special! We are going to miss you and Jango (the Golden Retriever).
We will be back!
Kind Regards,
Masha, Dmitry, Annie and Katie

Third bedroom we couldn’t use for children (not linked to main accommodation). Didn’t have draining board

Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast with delicious homemade jams, crepes and yoghurt. Lovely walking grounds on the property and a nice path leaving from the property uphill into the woods, passing the local airstrip.
Closest supermarket and dining options are at appx 10-15 mins in Falaise

Everything. The property was outstanding. It made you feel special. You felt like the Lord of the Manor especially sitting in the grounds and taking walks through the woods.
The hosts could not have been kinder and more friendly . Mark and Sylvie were really good company. Sylvie's breakfasts were a treat to look forward to every morning. Lots of home produced jams and homemade cakes and an endless supply of coffee.
Plenty to do and see nearby. We love the beaches and there was an abundance within easy driving distance.
The War Memorials are close by and in the Town of Failise there is William the Conquerer's castle. A magnificent building and well worth a visit.
We loved our week spent here and could recommend it to anyone. We will certainly return in the future Thank you Mark and Sylvie for making our stay with you so enjoyable. And thanks for the French lessons Mark
I would have liked a long mirror in the bedroom to see what I looked like before I went out for the evening.

The Chateau is beautiful, the chateau lord and madame are wonderfull. Stylish renovated rooms, so brand new with a nice view on the garden and fluffy bed. Breakfast with homemade jam and local cheese. Everything is present for an enjoyable stay!
Visit ‘Haras du pin’ or the camembert museum and area, or the coast. Falaise is nearby for a dinner or bite, in case of doubt ask the chateau lord for recommendations.
