Excellent stay

Loved it so peaceful the pod was spotlessly clean had everything you need all the home comforts and the beautiful smell as you enter shower was amazing and hot tub and privacy screen made it even more relaxing staff went over and beyond for us thank you so much a will defo be back to visit most relaxed a have felt in a long time and the break fast basket was a lovley wee bonus a place with a lot of thought put into it well done to the owners a was very impressed

Very well equipped cabin with everything you could need for a short stay.

If anything it was a little too warm and couldn’t change the temperature below 23. Would definitely come in handy in the cold winters but it was a little too toasty for us.

Absolutely amazing, relaxing and worry free!

The breakfast box was amazing! The lodge was spotless and cleaned throughout our stay! The hot tub was just perfect too. The location is great, a nice compact site but with privacy too.

We had a fantastic stay. The lodge was clean and location very peaceful.

Location was excellent, plenty choice of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants that were relatively close by. Lodge was immaculate, fully equipped with everything we needed. The added breakfast was a great little touch, a choice of cereals, bread, butter, jam, fresh fruit, milk and eggs! Firepit was an impressive size and the firewood was provided. The hot tub was amazing, very spacious, clean, jets very powerful. The privacy screen to the front and pull over roof was a nice little touch and with the solar powered fairly bights behind.

Good facilities, disappointing additional charge

I booked this for my 19 year old son and myself as it stated there were two beds, one of which was a sofa bed. I was disappointed to then be contacted and asked if I intended to use the sofa bed as there was an additional fee for bed linen specifically for the sofa bed. This should have been clear before booking

We had a great time at the weedingshall lodges, everything that was provided for breakfast in our basket gave us choices

The layout of the lodges, play park and bbq area was spacious. Allowed for privacy and also an aspect of having neighbours that was pleasant.

There was no chopping board for preparing food and I was concerned about damaging the worktop due to this. The toilet seat moved slightly, this wasn’t an issue just a note to have a look at repairing and the rubber seal at the bottom of the shower door was dirty so may consider changing soon. Again there is no complaint being made about these things just an opportunity to advise the host.

Love the facilities and the surroundings. Kids had lots of fun there. The sound proof is superb!

Modern and well-organized cabin

The stay we had in the cabin was great. It’s clean, modern, and well-organized. It has new furniture, and a lovely small balcony outside. It is situated at a slightly higher elevation and is not far from the city, making it easy to reach other tourist locations. The surrounding greenery around the cabin creates a comfortable atmosphere. It was a nice stay, and we highly recommend the place.

Owner prefers children under 10 and couples

My recent one-night stay, costing £165 for a 19-hour period from 4 pm to 11 am, did not meet expectations. With Glasgow Stirling and Falkirk so close by hotels give much better service. A significant detail omitted from the description was the property's location within a graveyard. No space on the ground to walk around. Very close by cabins. Furthermore, I had considerable concerns regarding the hygiene of the hot tub. It was pre-filled with hot water upon our arrival, and I observed a lack of chemical treatment necessary for sanitisation. As a hot tub owner myself, I am aware that pre-filling with hot water without appropriate chemical balancing can create a breeding ground for bacteria. I also found the atmosphere to be unsuitable for families. It appeared to be marketed primarily towards couples, and the general environment was not child-friendly. My impression was that families, particularly those with children over 10, were not the target clientele. Additionally, I witnessed an interaction that I found concerning from a customer service perspective. As a family already on there site they did inquired about extending their stay for a night that was advertised online for £190. The owner stated the property was fully booked, yet I later observed the price for that same night increase to £315 and remain available.

Misleading Location – Right by a Graveyard

I booked Weedingshall Lodges last minute via Booking.com and was shocked to discover upon arrival that the only entrance is shared with a cemetery. You drive through the main gates of Grandsable Cemetery, pass several graves, and only then reach the lodges via a side path. This was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. As someone who suffers from coimetrophobia (fear of graveyards), this caused severe distress. I could not stay at the property due to its close proximity to graves, which are clearly visible along the entrance path. I contacted the host immediately to explain the situation and express my concern that something this important wasn’t disclosed. They were completely dismissive and told me to take it up with Booking.com. No apology, no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue. Booking.com later confirmed that it’s the property’s responsibility to list any significant nearby landmarks, including cemeteries. Yet this information was missing entirely. The map on Booking.com also failed to show the graveyard, unlike Google Maps. After driving over 10 hours to get there, we had to urgently find another hotel late at night. This was a stressful and avoidable experience. I will be requesting a refund, either via Booking.com or my bank. If you’re sensitive to your surroundings or would rather not stay next to a cemetery, avoid this property. Sadly, it was a one-star experience for us.

Superb. You should go

Very clean , modern, hot tub right outside , fire pit with two fire logs, seating outside with a table on the decking. Frame built around the hot tub with cover on the top and sides to shelter from rain / weather. It’s close enough to shops etc for stocking up but far enough out the way to be peaceful

Overarching, feeling that the whole room was tired Bathroom door handle hanging off. Large / deep crack across base of Belfast sink - sink drained slowly. Bed extremely squeaky, impossible to move without waking partner. Pest control plug in unit constant clicking noise with bright pulsing light lit up room in dark hours. Sofa "tired and grubby". Unable to get room to decent temperature as it was locked and at 23 degrees, too warm for sleeping Breakfast hamper poor quality, expected much better from reading other reviews. Overpriced forcing few positive features

Disappointing

Quiet clean and had all we needed

Next to graveyard! No room for clothes. Was looking tired specially the floor, the sofa bed and the microwave. We booked this as bed and breakfast BUT it was not. We had a complimentary breakfast hamper when we arrived but it wasn’t enough for our stay. Then unbelievably on our last night we were left another hamper exactly the same that there was no way we would have finished! We didn’t see a member of staff the whole time we were there and there is not a room service every day despite it being on all the literature.

The whole night way was absolutely brilliant. The lodge and surrounding area was extremely clean with a lovely welcome hamper inside the pod with everything you would need. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully book it again.

A fabulous little glamping hideaway.

Pretty setting which is very well attended. Outdoor cooking facilities looked great although we didn't use them. In the cabin, we had everything we needed and more. An amazing breakfast basket provided with lots of choice. Tea coffee etc provided. The cabin was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We didn't book the hot tub but checked it over and although empty, was sparkling clean. The shower was amazingly refreshing with powerful jets and again, spotless.

Although the bed was comfortable, it creaked badly when either of us moved. Can't say we didn't like it though because it was a minor irritation in what was otherwise a 10/10 accomodation.

This was a hidden gem! I liked how easy it was to get there, the communication from owners, very helpful down to is locking ourselves out having our morning coffee! We had everything we needed! I’ve never slept a full night through for years, I was so relaxed that I slept the whole night! Bed so comfortable, had everything we needed, the hot tub perfect temperature, sat with a fire pit listening to the birds beforee settling down! Nothing not to like
