Luxury Colonial Terrace House in the Rocks

We went away for a weekend to celebrate a birthday, was a great location - walking distance to bars, restaurants and retail and a beautiful space to spend time with friends indoors and out. It's a beautiful and unique property with very helpful and responsive hosts.

Customer experience was great, owner was very responsive and even gave us complimentary parking for the night. House was clean and tidy, and loved the design / heritage of the home.

The location was excellent - easy walk to restaurants/cafes in The Rocks and to Circular Quay. Early check-in was appreciated after our flight was changed. The house itself was average. The beds were very uncomfortable (hard as rock!). My husband and I ended up sleeping in the single beds as they were more comfortable than the other 2 double beds. My in-laws stayed with us and stayed in the master bedroom and were very uncomfortable as well. There are no extra pillows or blankets - we considered buying pillows just to get a better night sleep. Cleaners must only surface clean, we lifted up a couch cushion and it was filthy underneath, with dust and food. Underneath the couch in the lounge was full of pet hair. It needs a deep clean. Hot water is very minimal, we were warned before check-in that you needed quick showers but even so, 6 people cannot all shower around the same time of day. One 2/3 full bath took all the hot water. House is over 4 levels with very steep stairs so we wouldn't recommend for young kids or elderly. Otherwise it's a novelty to stay in a terrace house in a gorgeous location!
