About this house rental
The Syrah and Chardonnay villas are two beautiful properties located in the heart of a vineyard estate in the Provence Verte region. As soon as you arrive, our Butterfly Garden will offer you a magnificent example of our commitment to the environment. Then, as you follow a small road surrounded by forests, you’ll discover a hamlet of three vacation villas, each offering its own privacy. Inside, the chic and serene atmosphere designed by Agnès—a stylist and yoga instructor—will delight you.
This is truly the perfect place to recharge and enjoy the Provençal way of life. Renovated in 2020, the Chardonnay country house and the Syrah villa are located within an internationally renowned wine estate: Château de l’Escarelle. The interiors of both properties are brand-new, fully air-conditioned, and feature 6 double rooms and a duplex in the Chardonnay bastide, as well as 3 double rooms in the Syrah villa! Each room has its own en suite bathroom.
Inspired by an exciting renovation and design project, our craftsmen have done a fantastic job. Custom woodwork, Provençal materials, designer furniture, and hotel-style comfort are found in every room—each with its own unique style—as well as in the vast living-dining room of the Chardonnay bastide. The latter is a marvel: a warm, open-concept space with a large table seating 14, two seating areas, and a top-of-the-line kitchen.
Everything here has been carefully selected to ensure you enjoy a high-quality stay, even in large groups, while still providing each guest with their own personal space.
We opened the property for rentals in the spring of 2021 and were delighted to introduce our first guests to the property; they left absolutely thrilled. Because this isn’t just a villa—it’s an entire world you’ll discover during your vacation: dominated by the Loube, a majestic mountain rising to an altitude of 800 meters, the lands of the Escarelle vineyard are full of surprises. In the greenest region of Provence, you’ll find a state-of-the-art winery, a vineyard in its final year of transition to organic farming, a butterfly garden, and kilometers of trails deep in the forest, where you might encounter deer, foxes, and all kinds of birds. There are plenty of experiences to enjoy, and we’ll provide you with attentive, high-quality service.
And for water lovers: the sea is just an hour’s drive away!
Included for rentals of at least one week:
- 3 hours of housekeeping per day, excluding Sundays, arrival/departure days, and holidays
- a welcome basket with products from the estate
- sheets and towels provided

We do everything we can to ensure this does not disturb your peace and quiet, and please know that the treatments used are certified organic and environmentally friendly.
In addition, electric fences surround the agricultural areas, and we ask all our guests to keep a close eye on children.

The villas on the L'Escarelle estate were superb - they were situated up a track and literally miles from anywhere in the glorious vineyards, with delightful far-ranging views. They were equipped to an extremely high standard with every room having an en suite. The bedrooms were large, well-furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen and living space was ideal for our family of 21 which ranged from 10 months to 70 plus years old.
The swimming pool was completely safe and the games equipment etc very useful.
The temperatures were in the mid-30's and our only request for our hosts to consider would be to erect an electric awning on the wall which accommodates the outdoor dining area which stayed hot until well into the evening and would much benefit from any shade.
Thomas, who helped us with our booking was unfailingly helpful and dealt with all our queries really efficiently.
Nicolas, the manager who helped us after arrival as Thomas was ill, was charming and so patient with every request we made. He also gave us an excellent tour of the winery. We were delighted by him.
We would unreservedly recommend L'Escarelle to any family who want a holiday in a beautiful and quiet area of Provence.
