Medusa Apartments

We had a fantastic stay at Medusa and enjoyed every moment of it! The view of the sea was absolutely wonderful. The room had been beautifully renovated and was very, very nice, as well as spotlessly clean. Personally, I was especially impressed by the bed — it had a brand-new, absolutely perfect mattress. I slept like I was on a cloud in heaven! The landlord was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. Even our small wishes were fulfilled immediately, which made our stay even more pleasant. We also loved the wonderful evening atmosphere along the promenade. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sea view and the peaceful evening mood, was simply beautiful. We highly recommend it!

One small point for improvement would be the kitchenette. For us, it was a little under-equipped, as it only had a few glasses, a kettle, a coffee machine, and a small fridge. We bought some plates, forks, and knives ourselves so that we could have a small breakfast or dinner in the room. It would also have been very convenient to have a small drying rack or clothesline with some pegs for the wet swimsuits. These are really just small suggestions, as overall we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time at Medusa very much!

Medusa is in a great position. All rooms have a view of the sea, even those on the side of the building. The hosts are very friendly. Bedrooms are of a good size, beds are comfortable. Showers are fantastic, with plenty of controllable hot water. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis

We have stayed at Medusa several times over the years, and have found it a pleasure in every way, but. . . . Medusa's charm was that the rooms were quaintly old fashioned in decor and furnishings. There was sufficient storage space with old fashioned wardrobes, bedside cabinets, & drawers. A small kitchen with sufficient crockery & utensils for minimal catering. The hotel is being modernised, starting at the top & working downwards. The walls, which were in an array of quirky colours are now a uniform cream, not a bad thing in itself, but along with this the old fashioned furniture has gone, to be replaced with modern looking but completely useless modern stuff, prioritising form over content. Wardrobes have gone, replaced with a rail & drawers are non-existent. Not enough space to store clothes. Kitchens have gone to be replaced with a kettle, coffee maker, & small fridge. Our room slept four but there were only 2 mugs & 2 glasses. We were in a family suite, the party consisted of myself & my wife, & our friend, the 2 rooms were separated by archways?? Resulting in no privacy whatsoever. On previous visits, one of the rooms had a door. There were no chairs on the balcony because "there was not enough space". This was provably incorrect, as we borrowed two from friends & they fitted fine. How can you have a balcony in Greece and provide no seating? Finally, the water output from the tap on the sink in the bathroom was pitiful. I checked with friends in a room above & theirs was the same. We also observed the empty room next door & it was equally pitiful (photo of tap fully open is attached). This made it almost impossible to wash properly in the sink, & quite difficult to clean your teeth. I brought this to the attention of Dina, the lady who used to run Medusa until handing over to her son, and showed her the issue. Result - nothing. Nobody even spoke to me about the problem.
