Charming Beachfront Cape Cod style home on Sunlight Beach, Useless Bay. We are perfect for extended family and Wedding Parties. Sleeps 10. If your group is larger, talk to us about overflow rentals closeby. Steps to the beach. Gorgeous gardens. High speed fiber. Restaurants, shops & galleries in the quaint historical town of Langley 10 minutes away.
On the edge of a bird sanctuary. Explore a world of sand dollars, crabs, Great Blue Herons and Eagles. Kite surfers on windy days. Walk for a mile when the tide goes out. Prepare for the most stunning photo ops! Kayak the lagoon. Count the birds in the adjacent bird sanctuary.- This end of the road location as it is peaceful, restorative and private.
Breathtaking sunsets and views of the Olympic Mountains, including Mount Rainier. Lovely fire-pit area with plenty of seating. Stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens which have been on the Whidbey Island Garden tour several years. They include a children's play 'tea' house, a potting shed, and a variety of unusual plant species.
This property comes with a sweet natured pet cat named Nubbins. She needs to be fed while you're here - but uses a pet door to come and go to her 'outdoor' litter box.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances and double ovens. Lots of counter space and and island make group cooking easy.- Inside Dining space for 14, with spectacular views. 3 Kayaks, and a paddle board. Hammock by the beach.- Big Front Yard. Large Gas Weber BB.
- UPSTAIRS MASTER SUITE - has 6 foot soaking tub, double showers and private balcony overlooking the gardens and Useless Bay.
- CONVENIENT LOCATION & ACTIVITIES: 10 minutes from Clinton Ferry. 10 m. to the quaint and historical town of Langley with its own eclectic restaurants, art galleries, and great shopping. 5 minutes to neighborhood grocery. Short distance to Holmes Harbor Golf Course, wine tasting and farmers' markets, as well as the world renowned Mukilteo coffee roasters!
- Perfect for groups: book clubs, family gatherings or reunions, girlfriend getaways, anniversary celebrations and restorative retreats.
This property is available for special events for a fee. We can accommodate rehearsal dinners, small weddings, receptions and other events. Inquire with us for more details.
- A $750 Event Fee will be charged for parties of 16-24, with a 3 night minimum stay October through mid May
- A $1000 Event Fee will be charged for parties 25-70, with a 3 night minimum night stay June-September.
Depending on numbers, There may be a fee for Extra 'facilities' needed, as we have a limited septic system! ($85 for portable toilet)

We loved staying there and celebrating our wedding with our close family. It’s on the end of a very quiet street. Bald eagles, otters, finches, crows, bunnies, herons were a delight to see! Everything in the house has been tastefully decorated and it has such a “homey” feel to it. 100% would stay here again! Crystal is a fantastic host, we really appreciated how accommodating she was, even helping us coordinate with our chef to make sure they had everything needed for our celebration.

Our family of five stayed for the second time in this lovely, peaceful home. The beds are so comfortable and have wonderful bedding. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic needs as well as a plethora of spices. Communication with the owner is excellent and we were even treated to some fresh crab and a recommendation for an outing to the Bayview Nursery, which was awesome! Highly recommend! Will definitely stay again for a third time!

This was our first family vacation with grandparents since covid hit, and we could not have landed in a more perfect spot. First off, Crystal is a dream of a host. She was extremely responsive to questions before, during, and even after our stay. She checked in on us to make sure that we had everything we needed to be comfortable, suggested fun things for our kids to enjoy, and provided wonderful recommendations to explore Whidbey. Her hospitality and commitment to ensuring a wonderful stay is unparalleled.Her home is the best we’ve ever stayed in. It is clean and well kept, with a spacious and inviting layout. Crystal’s home is so well appointed that we never felt like leaving. Her house has everything you could ever need or want. Our two families had plenty of room and slept so well on the comfortable beds. The three full bathrooms and extra half bath were greatly appreciated when juggling all the adults and kids. The views are stunning and we enjoyed eating outside every night. We had a blast kayaking or paddleboarding during the high tides and playing in the sand on low tides. We saw so much wildlife, including ospreys, herons, and bald eagles. Our kids enjoyed all the books, toys, and games that were readily available to them. The location is also perfect and allowed for easy and quick access to different restaurants or activities on the island. We can’t wait to return to Heron’s Crossing again soon! Thank you Crystal, for such a wonderful time!
