There was a promotion for first time customers of eur50 /500points which I learned about in the afternoon of the last day of my stay Unfortunatelly I already set my account with RIU and learned about the offer after I would appreciate that a correct solution to benefit from the promo would of been found for me as a new customer with RIU

Great gem in the sand

The sun rise in the morning was a dream come through. The location of the hotel was well suited for our needs. I've had a look at the other hotels in the area and can comfortably say that Riu Nautilus was the better of the lot. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were very helpful and polite. I've not seen one staff member looking upset or shabby looking. Full marks to the staff that I believe with their very positive attitude, contributed to a already beautiful location and environment.

Wasn't a fan of the bed. It was two large single placed together.. and to make it worst, they were on wheels!! It took some getting used to. There is also no iron though the hotel orders a dry cleaning service. I'd rather a iron in the room though.

Good value for money hotel

The hotel is in a good position- handy for the Marina- promenade into Torremolinos itself and near lots of beach bars and restaurants. The hotel is immaculately clean- the room spacious and all staff exceptionally professional, efficient and helpful. Food quality is good although slightly repetitive but always something for everyone. There is a lovely à la carte restaurant which you can book into and is included in the price. Food there was excellent. Bus stops are handy and you can pre- book and pre- pay your taxi back to the airport. You have multiple English tv channels on the tv and a good sized screen.

I have a few slight niggles some of which could simply be personal preferences and impressions. The first one is that I messaged the hotel twice to request a room on the Marina side. This didn’t happen and we had a room on the opposite side with no sun at any time of the day. Part of my holiday is to sit outside on a sunny balcony relaxing and reading so I was disappointed. In the dining room tables are put together unless you manage to get one around the outside or in the conservatory. So if you are a couple you would find yourself sharing a table for 6. This maybe ok for some people but we like to have our own table for evening dining. The towels in the bathroom are thin brown coloured- not the usual lovely white fluffy ones you usually get in a 4 star hotel. There was evening entertainment but all singing? No-one to introduce or thank performers so a little impersonal. I would stay here again as it was really good value for money but would have to be sure someone was able to give me a more appropriate room.

The location is very good. Right on the promenade. The views from the balcony are beautiful. The food and service was good.

The size of the room. The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The quality of the sleep was not good. Also the noise comes from the bars around until 2a.m didn't let us sleep well.

Quality and comfort.

Fifth visit to this hotel. Just love the location, the size of the rooms walk-in showers, quality and choice of food and the friendly atmosphere. The communal areas are spacious too. Immaculately clean everywhere. The rooms have good sized balconies with sea views. The terrace is a perfect place for a pre-dinner drink, overlooking the pool and gardens. Easy access to promenade with bars and cafes very local, or you can walk.to Torremolinos Town or Benalmadena.

There is entertainment provided each night - some good, some not so good! Did need to request second pillows, but it was no problem.

Very relaxing few days.

Absolutely excellent service, the staff were amazing, , food was excellent for example the bacon in the mornings for breakfast was cooked and not like rubber like in some hotels, also good variety each evening. Staff were happy and very attentive. Our room was spotless thank you to Valeria who cleaned it. Although the hotel was full there was plenty of sunbeds by the pool.

Although there was plenty of sunbeds by the pool, and it does stipulate in the hotel booklet that sunbeds should not be reserved, there was still a couple of English people who thought it was good to reserve their sunbeds with the HOTEL towels and go to town for shopping etc . Then come back in the afternoon and decide that they didn't want the beds they reserved and moved to the other side of the pool. (Did they not realise they were preventing someone else from using them.?)
