The hotel has been totally refurbished and this was the first day they opened. Naturally there were a few gremlins to deal with. Beautiful decor and quality of fittings. First class musical duo at night
Poor choice of wine by the glass. Only BBC news channel in English whereas there were TV channels in German, French, Dutch and the Scandinavian languages. This seems to be a policy of the RIU chain, not to have English TV. Couldn't fathom out soap dispensers.

Clean, joyful responsible and hard working employees doing their best to service customers; lovely terrace, parots, ducks and doves, great sauna and seaview
There was a promotion for first time customers of eur50 /500points which I learned about in the afternoon of the last day of my stay Unfortunatelly I already set my account with RIU and learned about the offer after I would appreciate that a correct solution to benefit from the promo would of been found for me as a new customer with RIU

The hotel was clean and generally well-maintained, and looked newly refurbished.
The experience didn’t meet expectations overall. Some staff members were friendly, while others came across as less welcoming and somewhat dismissive. The hotel was also almost entirely occupied by much older guests (mostly 65+), which wasn’t clearly communicated in the ad - only described as “adults only,” so the atmosphere was very different from what we expected.
Additionally, we were given a different room from what was advertised. Although it technically had a sea view, it was facing the street with views of bins and surrounding buildings, which was disappointing. ( see photos) The hotel was not willing to address this, although Booking.com later gave us a small wallet credit as a gesture of good will.
