Beautiful lobby and outdoor dining area are special enough to merit a stay here, the best I’ve seen in any hotel. LA’s often perfect weather is used to best advantage. Makes me want to thank the architects.

We had an early appointment at the medical center and it was very conveniently located just a short walk away. Parking was easy and they even have EV chargers! Even though check-out was at 11am, we could have left the car there until 5pm. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. The room and bed was very comfortable.
When we tried to book another stay a month in the future (again for a medical appointment), the price was 3x as much! We are going to try another property.

Milton, Michael ACybthia, Miriam (at the front desk) and Gigi. I’ve stayed at this hotel and loved it many times, but their policies have changed and how would you know? Gigi went out of her way as a manager to allow an exception for me to bring my service dog and her two daughters and younger dogs. They are loved at every hotel worldwide and they’re highly trained, but they are not robots, but very loving labradors.. so everybody’s happy to see them and they frankly as a little touch to people’s visits, who may be missing their own dogs or just want a little doggy interaction. However, there’s a new manager Lawson who called me and let me know under the circumstances that my receiving 416 inch wide YOGA boards that were 82 inches long but way no more than 30 pounds was unacceptable when someone calls you and asked you a question and is Doesn’t even bother to wait for an answer as they scold you. It’s not possible but then if you get follow up calls about the same thing also there’s some new policy that they cannot. The staff will not help you with any luggage that was over 50 pounds. How would you know that but I certainly didn’t know it after receiving The phone call from Lawson. You used to also be able to park your car in the very large drive-in valet area so if you had to run in and get something you could without having to go to the underground garage again Lawson had indicated rules no cars were allowed to park in an area that has been used for years And is convenient. It was just that how it was handled. There was also sort of alarm attitude that I had had a delivery by truck it was actually the Yoga board makers pick up truck. It was not as if it was a truck delivery. It just felt no longer friendly no longer welcoming so when Marion said good morning and said m I have stayed here many times, and this visit began on a very positive note.
The change in emphasis…

Luskin is conveniently located if you visiting UCLA or going to the UCLA Medical Center. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable - design is clean and modern. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the dining area/lobby is very inviting. We enjoyed a sit down dinner on the patio. Loved the secured parking and high quality service.

Clean great restaurant
I have stayed here many times, and this visit began on a very positive note. Manager Gigi kindly made an exception to the hotel’s new two-dog policy because I’m a loyal repeat guest and had stayed with all three dogs before. I didn’t know about the change; the mother of my dogs is a highly trained service dog who helps prevent neuromuscular seizures, and her two puppies are completing their training. One has been at an institute for over a year, learning to assist people who are blind and deaf; the other is a medical therapy dog. Both need socialization through real-world travel—airports, hotels, and so on—not by staying in a facility. The staff knows these dogs well, they’ve never caused an incident, and guests adore them. Gigi understood this and allowed my family of service dogs to stay together. She and Roger at the front desk both maintain the hotel’s standards without being rigid, balancing professionalism with genuine warmth.
That warmth made the contrast with Mr. Lawson’s approach all the more striking. During my stay, Mr. Lawson, a hotel manager, contacted me about a package delivery: four yoga boards, each about 16 inches wide and 82 inches tall, to use at home for physical therapy after neuromuscular seizures. These weren’t oversized cargo, just tall boards meant to be mounted for yoga straps. Yet he treated the delivery as if it were a monumental shipment, suggesting a truck had arrived with some massive package. In reality, they came in a pickup truck. He launched into a lecture about rules and procedures, asking questions but never giving me a moment to answer. Being spoken over and berated felt like being dressed down for something minor and untrue. A follow-up call from Gigi about the boards, though well-intentioned, felt unnecessary after the first conversation—once was enough. The whole matter was blown out of proportion, and I later learned I wasn’t alone: staff themselves seemed uneasy with Mr. Lawson’s strict style and heavy focus on rules.

The room is gorgeous and comfortable. The location is super convinient for me to visit friends working in UCLA. I also had a reunion dinner with friends at the retaurant Plateia and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot.

Well maintained college, conference hotel. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed.
We were there two nights. While coffee station amenities were replenished complimentary bottled water was not. Pricing changes significantly depending on whether a conference or campus event are taking place.

Staff is really kind
It’s super clean and calm, best way to relax

Nice public facilities, including outdoor restaurant space. Polite staff, although not particularly accommodating,
The bed in the room was terribly uncomfortable. Front desk staff would not move me to a different room for my second night, claiming that bedding in all rooms were of equivalent age, comfort, and condition. The room also had a very unpleasant chlorine-like smell that persisted over the two days I was there.

Location in the middle of the UCLA campus was perfect for us. The campus is pretty and safe and the hotel is only a short walk to the restaurants in Westwood Village. Hotel itself is very pretty, modern, and clean. Beds were comfortable. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Plateia restaurant was excellent, definitely recommend trying it. The hotel is a "no tips" establishment, which was refreshing.

Our family have stayed at Luskin for many times. The hotel is very dog-friendly: dogs receive their treat bag and water bowl at check-in, only $25 per entire stay for two pets. Food at the restaurant is delicious and we enjoyed the lunch sitting outside with our dogs.

Beautiful property at a great location
The check-out time was changed to 11 am. Oddly, all my emails said 12 pm. When I checked in, I asked for late check out and was told to call the morning of. Oddly, no mention of the change of the 11 am check out. When I called for that late check out on my last day, I was told 11:30 latest, a half hour before my understanding of check out. I was told to pay for anything later. Wish I was told via email and check-in.
