To be avoided, unless you like dog hair on all your stuff

The island itself is beautiful and the location of the house is nice; we could see pheasants, rabbits and a deer from the living room window

The place was absolutely filthy when we arrived, dog hair EVERYWHERE, a piece of chewed gum by the fireplace, cobwebs and coffee stains. The man from the rental company I spoke to on the phone was friendly, but his colleague who came to clean a bit, was rather rude. Also, the place needs maintenance. It's fine if the decor is a bit 90's, but it would be nice if the light bulbs were working, etc. Expect a hefty rate for the use of electricity; over 40 euros for 3 nights for us.

Beautiful Island, but the House Amenities Were Outdated

The island is amazing, and the house served its purpose due to its central location.

The house could have been cleaner and better equipped with necessities. I had to replace the overhead light bulb in one bedroom by taking an old one from a living room lamp. In the kitchen, there wasn't a sharp knife without a wobbly handle. Little things like these mean that the owner probably hasn't for some time restocked to take care of guest needs as the house is being managed by the main management company in Fanø.

Nichts , es waren Flecken auf den Teppichen, das hat aber uns nicht wirklich gestört….
