Villa Petrinum B&B

Located just outside the town of Mondragone, the villa was clean and comfortable, and felt like a home from home. The reception was only staffed for some of the time, but it wasn't a problem at all. Simona our host, was always friendly and helpful. She looked after us very well, patiently answering all of our questions at any time, and providing the most delicious breakfast every morning. :-) The accommodation was lovely - on the site of a former Roman villa and set in its own grounds, with gated parking, and rural views on all sides. There are only three letting rooms, which means it is generally quiet during the day, although it becomes a little busier when the restaurant is open in the evenings. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Petrinum and will definitely return. Thank you Simona for a wonderful stay! :-)

The Villa Petrinum was my favorite accommodation on my travels down the eastern coast of Italy. This beautifully renovated historic villa was extremely comfortable, clean, and tastefully furnished. Simona made sure I had a wonderful stay, recommending sites to see, restaurants, and preparing a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately I visited during the week when the restaurant was closed so I will have to return.

Villa Petrinum is by far the coolest, most interesting location I have ever stayed in. An actual Roman Villa that has been updated with an incredible view in all directions. It was an absolute gem hidden between Rome and Naples! The onsite dinner is excellent! Very great menu using many local ingredients from Mondragone and the surrounding area. The dinner atmosphere, location, presentation, and experience were the best we had in Italy. Mondragone itself is not a huge town. Very beautiful and very authentic to the area. It does not have the tourists of Rome and Naples so you are able to experience the real life of the area. Beaches were beautiful and serene and had very few people on them. The staff was absolutely phenomenal! Very helpful and professional with fantastic knowledge of the villa and Mondragone itself. Thank you so much to Simona, Eduardo, and Salvatore who made our trip to Mondragone very special! You are missing out on an amazing experience by not adding this to your destination list!

Villa Petrinum is an ancient villa, that recently has been completely renovated. The villa is build on historic grounds upon a roman villa. The remains of the roman villa are still visible today. Salvatore is a great host with an incredible amount of knowledge about te history of the site where villa Petrinum is set. The members of the crew of villa Petrinum are very nice and competent for the job. Communication with them, while travelling to villa Petrinum was good and very usefull. Breakfast was very good. In short: great place to stay for visiting Mondragone and surroudings.
