The hosts are lovely and let us check in early. The road the cottage is on is perfect, opposite a lovely pond with ducks, a resident heron and lush trees and foliage. The house was lovely and cool on hot days, especually downstairs. Ventnor is a gteat seaside town
There was a dirty cake tin in the oven that had not been washed so maybe that needs to be chevked for future. We had to pick up key ffrom hotel about 20 mins walk from property which could have been problematic if we werent able to arrange a taxi and that can be challenging in Ventnor but the pros definitely outweighed the cons with this property

The cottage was clean and The beds were comfortable
The downstairs smelt musty & the sofas were extremely uncomfortable! There was no welcome pack provided on arrival & it would’ve been a better idea to have the key in a key box at the cottage rather than having to collect it at the Hambrough.
The blind in the twin bedroom didn’t have a wand which made it very dark unless you pulled it up completely & the bathroom could do with an air vent.

Maybe some coffee as I’d forgotten mine and no local shop and to drive may mean losing a parking space

It's in a quite nice location also close to the beach ( drive 5 min). It's kept clean inside. Except above issues the rest is well maintained.
Front door had a clear glass, people can see through from outside very clearly. No light in washroom, running water sound in pipes all the day. Spring sofas which are very hard to sit on.
