Apartment on the Beach with View

Es wurden einige Möbel ersetzt und der Wasserdruck war dieses Jahr super. Schnell und unkompliziert Wir waren das 2. Jahr da und würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen.

The property is perfect for 2 couples or a family with children - 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, open space living area with kitchen. Great location, easy self-acces, clean and tranquil. Kitchen seemed well equipped but we didn’t dine in, so I cannot say for sure. The only thing missing - and we were in need for one - was a wine bottle opener. :) Christos’ apartment in Rethymno is the best place to stay and go somewhere new everyday (2.5 hours driving to East and West). Because we got a bit of rain during our stay, we could not do the Samaria Gorge but we promise to come back. Crete is amazing, so beautiful and green and the people so friendly.

Spacious modern, clean appartment with a very responsive owner. Excellent views onto the beach/marina. Good location (even though it was off-season (mid March) and most restaurants along the promenade were still closed.) Great cafe just around the corner with excellent coffee and breakfast menu.

Bathroom could do with a modernisation, (but still reasonably acceptable/functionable as is). Parking was a bit of a hassle, but solved by parking at the marina (paid parking.) €12 for evening till next day 11 am.

Clean, comfortable and spacious no-frills top-floor apartment in a superb location just off the main seafront drag. Glorious evening views across the harbour towards the old town from the balcony. Beach is across the road and old town 10 - 15 minutes stroll away. Two bedrooms with a double and 2 x singles. Didn't use the kitchen but the apartment appeared to have all the essentials with shops and amenities minutes away. Great to see fly screens and sun blinds on the sliding doors - excellent! Would very happily stay here again. Apartment block has stairs to the front and a small lift with a narrow door - bear in mind if disability access is a requirement.

The shower was often a dribble with little or no water pressure and it can get a bit noisy at times but this is typical of Crete / Greece so not a cause for complaint. If I had to be picky there's a few things that caught my eye (eg. towel rad rusting) and the lights are a bit all or nothing. No obvious instructions for the TV (took 20 mins to navigate the controls) but who comes on holiday to watch TV?! I've spent a lot more money and got a helluva lot worse before...
