Gorgeous, spacious, traditional house. It was perfect for our family get-together.
We really enjoyed the large kitchen area leading out to a lovely garden, which was a perfect green space to sit out.
Fantastic location, which is in a quiet residential area. It is close to Granja Beach and also a few minutes' walk to the train station. We visited Porto and Aviero. Trains are regular and ticket prices are cheap.
Also, a special mention to Cristina, who met us and explained everything to do with the house and area.
Can't recommend highly enough :)

The house was absolutely lovely. Spacious with plenty of rooms for everyone to relax. Beautiful old furniture and books but very comfortable too. Superb location to stroll and admire the magnificent old homes in the (Old World) neighbourhood. I particularly loved the downstairs extra large kitchen that led out to a delightful long garden. Perfect for sitting outdoors and enjoying the green surrounds. It was such a worthwhile experience to be staying in a real Portugese home and we loved it!
The kitchen is a wonderful space and just perfect for sitting and eating and spending time in. I woud like to have had some kitchen cloths, and cleaning/washing products left for me. Maybe a welcome pack of some sort to get through the first day . I think it would make a difference. Maybe an extra bin or two upstairs and downstairs.

Restaurants and shops in walking distance
House next door being renovated so building noise during the day - not very peaceful to sit in the garden but they finished at 5pm and didn't work weekends and we were out most of the day

The host was excellent. Very good overall experience.
Slight musty smell and the cleaner should have vacuumed underneath the beds. One of the beds creaked slightly, but these are very minor points as the overall experience was very positive.
