A lovely host and very helpful. A lovely garden and balcony to enjoy the views.
Parking is available but to access it is a little tight in a big car.

The property was very well appointed with comfort in mind. The patio and garden area were gorgeous and very private. Breakfast on the patio was an added plus. Valerie was an excellent host who also helped us plan our itinerary for the day and even found a lavender field that hadn’t been cut already.
The only negative is that if you are driving and not used to the narrow streets, it can be a little anxiety provoking. But we managed fine.

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming place during our visit to Sault, and it was a truly special experience. First of all, a huge thanks to the lovely Owner – such a warm, welcoming person who immediately made us feel at home. Her hospitality and attention to detail really make this place stand out.
The house itself is full of character – an old Provençal home with soul, beautifully maintained and decorated in a consistent, authentic style. It’s not modern, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm.
The bathroom was a pleasant surprise – recently renovated, spotlessly clean, tasteful, and modern. We had two sinks, a very comfortable shower, and plenty of hot water – everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Breakfasts in the garden were absolutely delicious – a perfect start to the day surrounded by flowers and fresh air. In the evening, we loved sitting out on the charming balcony overlooking the whole valley – a peaceful and picturesque spot to unwind with a glass of wine.
The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. Since we visited during a heatwave, we had to sleep with the window open. Unfortunately, although the area is generally quiet, I’m very sensitive to noise, and the sounds from the street made it hard for me to sleep. Others might not be as bothered.
All in all, this is a place with heart and history – perfect for anyone who appreciates authenticity and the true spirit of Provence. We’d love to return one day, perhaps in a cooler season 😊

Lovely cool room though no aircon.
Delicious breakfast 😋
Very stylish property throughout.
Lots of good local restaurants closed in the village on Mon night. Peak season so a bit disappointing.

The host in extremely kind and thoughtful, she has very good suggestions when you want to explore the area and she even managed to book us a table at a restaurant that was already completely booked. The breakfast is also very nice with local products, and the garden is magnificent.

Located at centre of Sault in quiet enclave. Enabled me to change booking from municipal campsite very quickly..in view of heavy rain. Ancient house restored to very high standard. Host enabled me to dry my clothes and luggage, and park cycle in ground floor garage overnight. Ideal breakfast.
No negatives. Able to set off early next day batteries fully restored.

I had a warm and friendly greeting from the owner and the property was very comfortable and stylish. I was travelling by bike and she let me use the garage (which also had some tools like a bike stand and track pump).
Breakfast was delicious and a good variety of food so a good start to the day!

Valerie is a wonderful hostess and she will help you with your decisions on what to do around Sault. There is so much to explore!
We got the "suite" upstairs, which gave us a really nice view of the garden and mountains behind. We slept with windows wide open to still full privacy and meteor showers from bed.
This room is interesting: the bedroom part of the suite is very small (not many surfaces to place your stuff), but the bathroom is gigantic and luxurious, and after the bathroom you have an entire closet room where you can dump your clothes. It was just a bit difficult to place things by the door. It seems that there is a connecting door to a second bedroom which is what would make this room a suite. Despite the size of the room, I still think we got probably one of the best rooms in the hotel, and would come back to that one.
Continental breakfast was good, with local cheeses, honey and jams.
Sault itself is a great base for exploring around. It has several really good restaurants and stores that are interesting to check, unlike some other towns around that are much better to be visited for the day as there is not much.
The biggest surprise for us was how beautiful and dark the night sky is in here. It coincided with no moon and two meteor showers, and we really enjoyed this unexpected treat.
The arrival time seems very strict, but yet we had to wait for a few minutes for hostess to arrive. At this stage it seems possible to send instructions by phone/message the day before so the guests don't have to wait outside all disconcerted on what to do. Once she arrived, all was good.
This might be strange for some. but doors have no locks. Definitely a first for us in pretty much all of our stays around the world. It was truly safe, but for some of us its a cultural thing that we have to overcome.
You might get some road noise (is not that close but you get some echo, I believe). I am very sensitive to it, so we slept with earplugs as we preferred to see the night sky.

We loved this hotel. In such a charming village. The host Valerie was so friendly and welcoming. She helped book meals in the town and the breakfast was wonderful. The morning we set of early to cycle Ventoux, Valerie prepared a breakfast to be ready for us at 6:00. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need.
Nothing. It was a perfect stay.

Group of 9 cyclists stayed at Maison Leonard for a long cycling weekend. Valerie was the perfect host providing breakfast at whatever time required usually out in the open air terrace. Big cool spacious rooms with good facilities. Garage available with bike stand and pump. Access to garden and convenient town location. Able to access Ventoux, Gorges de La Nesque and Luberon valley with ease. Valerie was happy to make dinner bookings.

Our hostess was fabulous! The location of the hotel was great and parking was available. We enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel in Sault!
Upon arrival, we had a hard time finding the hotel. We called and our hostess met us on the main road and had us follow her in through the maze of streets to this hidden gem!
