Privately located in a quiet setting yet only 5 minutes to Jefferson it's the perfect escape from the busy world we live in.
The warm and inviting open great room offers cable TV, a stone fireplace with gas logs, and the upscale leather furniture welcomes you with a cozy, relaxing feeling.
A well-appointed kitchen with granite counters and wine bar is sure to please even the most discerning chefs in the family. A large pantry and laundry area is just off of the kitchen. Enjoy a family meal at the dining table while enjoying the sounds and view of the cascading waterfall outside.
Pure Indulgence features two master suites, one on each side of the cabin. The first is a spacious master suite with a comfy king bed, expansive windows that offers mountain views, and a bath with double vanities, an over-sized whirlpool tub for soaking your cares away, as well as a separate step-in shower. A large walk-in closet is great for storing clothing.
The second master suite also has a king bed and a bay window perfect for curling up with a good book! The private bath is outfitted with double vanities, another large Jacuzzi-whirlpool tub for relaxation, and a step-in shower as well.
The additional two bedrooms on the main level share a hall bath with a tub and shower combo. Each bedroom features a queen bed with elegant bedding and views of the mountains.
Downstairs, you will find an open family room with flat screen TV and sectional sofa - great for movie night with the family! This level also features a wet bar with small refrigerator for storing drinks and snacks. A set of twin bunk beds are also available for additional sleeping along with another half bath.
Out back, relax in the bubbling hot tub in the screened-in porch as you listen to the cascading waterfall that flows down to the Koi Pond. Another screened area offers seating for those just wanting to enjoy the sounds of nature.
You’re sure to want to take a stroll and enjoy the 75 acres that surround this property. Easy hiking and mountain views abound. Be sure to hike down to the hidden creek just at the edge of the property.
Located less than 2 miles from the New River (and a canoe rental company), and only 5 miles from Jefferson, this is the perfect vacation rental for those wanting to dine out, explore the area, fish or canoe the river. And the Blue Ridge Parkway is approximately a 10-minute drive. The New River State Park - Wagoner Access is 0.7 miles away. Bring your own canoe or tubes and head down for a fun day on the river. Our group had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. We came to Ashe for a hiking getaway and this home was a restful home base between hikes and when the storms came through. We loved the porches and hot tub, sitting and visiting in the living room and meals around the large dining table. We all slept comfortably and we’re already planning a trip back for next fall!

Our family went to the Ponderosa for the weekend. We loved being able to take walks on the property. The waterfall, coy pond, hot tub and screened in porch made out stay even more peaceful and fun.There are a couple things that caused us some issues and if we had been aware, it would have made the beginning of our stay easier.When we got there, we were looking for the lock box that had been indicated on our rental agreement. The code would not work. I called and found out that the code was not for the lock box but for the key pad that was on the door. The key pad was dark and the numbers were dark as well which made the key pad hard to see. The wording on the instructions just needs to be changed.Then, we didn't seem to have enough towels. Normally towels are placed in the bathroom or bedrooms but they were in the hall closet. We looked everywhere but in that closet. The back doors wouldn't lock and when I called the office, they said there was a trick to locking it. They told us how that lock worked and it worked great once you learned the trick. My agreement looked as though check out was 11 but the book at the house said checkout was 10...confusing.These are things that would have been nice to know and would be easy to fix by updating the information.There were only 3 salad bowls...not enough salad bowls for 8-10 people. I called the office several times and the person I spoke with was so very nice and patient with me.I wouldn't mind staying at the Pondersosa again.

We stayed for one week using the house as a base for motorcycling the great roads in the area. The house was fantastic. Beautiful setting and convenient location for restaurants and shops (just a 10min drive)The hosts were tremendously accommodating, allowing us an early check in as we arrived early, driving from Toronto. If you looking for a well equipped, clean and relaxing place this is it.Thank you and we’ll be back next year.

The frig. Isn’t working right & our stuff in the freezer spoiled. The bottled water never got cold, & the ones in the freezer never froze. We lost 2 packs of chicken that spoiled & we had to throw them away! That’s $15 wasted! You need to do something about that Frig. cause it had a fish smell & everything else that was opened had that smell, so we had to throw away a lot of food (Ex. bag of salad, cheese, jello, sausage, etc.) The floors were dirty with trash on it, & we tried to vacuum, but the vacuum didn’t pick up all of it. It’s ok, if the fridge was fixed! Anything we cooked, if you put leftovers in the fridge, it smelled like fish, & we had to throw it away!
