Family-friendly and child-friendly—that’s what sets our inn apart in the small, idyllically situated coastal resort town of Eckwarden in the Butjadingen region. The Butjadingen Peninsula is located in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea—an ideal setting for enjoying a carefree and relaxing vacation on the North Sea in clean, iodine-rich air. That’s why our coastal resort is also recommended by doctors.
Welcome to the young coast of Butjadingen: The vacation apartment in our house is charmingly furnished and perfectly suited for a family vacation. A large sunbathing area and play field, as well as playground equipment for the little ones right behind the house, provide plenty of space for the family to relax and unwind. Garden furniture is available for our guests to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. The Eckwarderhörne beach, the Tossens “Pirate Beach,” and the North Sea Lagoon in Burhave are all nearby. Ideal for children and adults alike to swim, play, and run around. For some children, this is their first time experiencing the tides. At low tide, guided mudflat hikes are offered in the “Wadden Sea National Park.”
You can also explore by bike: The largest peninsula in the north is crisscrossed by several hundred kilometers of farm roads, complete with well-marked bike signs. This makes it the perfect place to explore the green peninsula by bike. We also offer you the chance to see Butjadingen from the air. There are also interesting excursions to be taken in the surrounding area. From the idyllically situated fishing harbor of Fedderwardersiel, you can set sail for a day on the “Ms Wega” or go deep-sea fishing on a crab boat. Tours on the passenger ferry from Eckwarderhörne to Wilhelmshaven—home to the seawater aquarium, the Naval Museum, and the Oceanis (which simulates a 100-meter deep-sea dive)—and on to the offshore island of Heligoland are also popular. Whether it’s a day trip to Heligoland, two hours of relaxation on a harbor tour, or a fun-filled night on a chartered boat.
Maritime Museum: Take Germany’s only head ferry across the Weser River to Bremerhaven. The maritime city of Bremerhaven, home to one of the largest container ports, its world-famous Maritime Museum, the Morgenstern Museum, and the “Zoo am Meer,” is a very popular destination for day trips. Es ist eine schöne und saubere Ferienwohnung. Die Besitzer sind auch sehr freundlich. Der Garten ist super für Kinder.

Wir waren sehr angetan von der Ferienwohnung im Erdgeschoss des Hauses. Trotz 4 neben/übereinanderliegenden Wohnungen, hatte jeder seinen Bereich und man hat sich Null gestört gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist völlig ausreichend ausgestattet. Vor der Wohnung gibt es außerdem noch direkt einen Sitzbereich, quasi eine kleine Terasse. Die Fotos entsprechen nicht der Realität, denn in Wirklichkeit ist sowohl die Wohnung als auch der Garten viel größer und SCHÖNER! Der Garten lässt für Kinder kaum einen Wunsch offen. Es ist ein Sandkasten, normale Schaukel sowieso Kleinkinderschaukel, kletterstangen und eine Rutsche vorhanden. Tiere gibt es und genügend Platz um noch Decken auszubreiten oder z.b. Badminton zu spielen. Es gibt Sitzgelegenheiten und einen Grill. Die Aussicht aufs Feld rundet das ganze ab. Die Gastgeber sind durch und durch freundlich, herzlich und liebevoll. Sie fühlen sich auch von Kleinkindern die morgens schon mit dem Bobbycar über den Hof jagen nicht gestört.
Super schöne Gegend, jedoch sind nette Bademöglicheiten und Freizeitaktivitäten leider nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Neben dem Haus ist links eine Gaststätte und rechts ein kleiner Tante Emma Laden, was super praktisch ist. Die Felder in der Umgebung laden nur so zu Spaziergängen ein.
Kurz und Knapp, wir kommen wieder!!!!
