My Home in Tokyo

Ottima posizione per raggiungere tutta la citta con i mezzi. Zona tranquilla ma ben servita poco turistica. Presente tutto il necessario in cucina e bagno.

Spazio limitato per mangiare all'interno se non è possibile utilizzare il bel terrazzo con il tavolo grande (per motivi meteorologici / climatici).

The property offered 3 flat choices. Few years back we stayed on the top floor (level 3), which was bigger with huge terrasse, but we were disappointed by the bath not being fully Japanese style, and also the stairs to access Level 2 and Level 3 are very steep and narrow, making it difficult for suitcases! This time we made sure to book the ground floor flat, and we were happily surprised to find out that the bath at that floor is Japanese bath, with auto fill at set temperature and water can be reheated to temperature. Also, this ground floor flat having the bed on the other end of the room, and not on the street side like Level 3 room, we heard a bit less of the Fire station alarms this time. We had much better sleep.

Very nice and clean and tidy, with all the needed white-ware: fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, etc… I had a space were I could just set a remote work station, and the internet provided was fast enough for it. Beds were very comfy. It was only the 2 of us, so we enjoyed large size beds each. The balcony was very large for a Tokyo flat… though we did not really enjoyed it all that much, as we obviously were often out and about. The flat is not far from the station, on a line that is convenient for Airport connection, but also closed enough to the main Tokyo tourist points like Sky Tree, Asakusa, Akihabara, etc… there are also several supermarkets near the station the the flat, as well as shops, and restaurants. The washing machine and dryer is also a nice to have and free. But because it takes a bit long to wash then dry, and we spend our time out visiting, we also just used the coin laundry next door, as you can quickly wash and dry your clothes in just 60min, and at any time, without bothering the neighbours.

Maybe the fire station just across the road, with sirens in middle of the night. Also the steep staircase to the 2nd/3rd floor rooms… And a bit disappointed the bath was not really like a the hot tub we were expected it to be in most Japanese house/flat were you can set to temperature and level, and water fills up itself to desired temp and level, and reheats to the temp when it gets cooler. This one was just setting the temperature from the tap, so the bath water cools down like usual bath.

Facilities and cleanness

Very noisy because of fire station at the opposite street, sirens ringing 24/7 even at middle of the night. Far from train station. No reception.
