Very nice place to stay

Very nice place to stay. The possibility to park at the hotel, the proximity of downtown, easy to grab food, have a drink and ski without taking the car. The room was very clean, we loved it. Quiet room. We loved the idea that you need your room card to go in any walkway. Easy Check in and check out.

Unsafe and Unprofessional Experience on New Year’s Day

The room was ok

We stayed here on January 1st on a snowy day in Tahoe. When we entered our room, it was freezing cold because the heating had not been turned on. We contacted the front desk, and the manager and owner came into our room. Instead of addressing the issue, he raised his voice, insisted the room was warm, and repeatedly emphasized that he was the owner. Later, when we stepped out to get dinner, the same owner approached us again and asked if we were hotel guests, even though he had just been in our room. When we told him the room was still cold, he became aggressive and threatened to call the police if we did not leave. We no longer felt safe staying at the hotel and decided to book another place on a holiday night, which caused significant inconvenience and additional expense. The entire experience was unprofessional and intimidating, and we would not recommend staying here.

It was a location friendly place, with leaves like thin blanket in a snow area. Yeah pretty bad.

The staff member at the front desk was extremely rude. I’m not sure if he was the manager or the front desk attendant, but his behavior was unacceptable. We arrived at 12:20 PM because Booking.com indicated that check-in was available at 12:00 PM. Instead of explaining the situation calmly, he abruptly told us to come back at 3:00 PM and began closing the door on us without having a proper conversation. There was no attempt to clarify, assist, or provide basic customer service. The way we were dismissed was disrespectful and unprofessional.

I loved the location, it was pretty close to the stores, lake, and the casinos. It was easy to get around and everything was within 10 min of walking. The staff was also friendly and provided us with a lake pass for the private lake (we would’ve paid $30/person if it wasn’t for them) and also provided us with an umbrella and hat for the heat. Also the room came with snacks and it was pretty clean and cozy! Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend. Would definitely come back again.

The bed was a little too firm to our liking and there was no elevator to the 2nd floor so we had to carry all our luggage.

The motel, not hotel fyi, is located very close to the strip.

It is not a place that you would go to relax. It is just a clean room with a bed, nothing else. The view out my window of dirt and a broken down Honda was exceptional.

Very clean and comfortable room with snacks. The room is WAY cleaner and nicer than the corridors and building and has clearly been modernized and upgraded

Best stay

The room was super clean and met all the amenities that we wanted. Had plenty of towels, and if you forgot your shampoo or toothbrush, they provide that along with toothpaste. The bed was really comfortable.

The ice machine was broken down, and I had to ask the front desk for ice. There wasn't a place to hang your towels after use. The A/C unit is noisy and can be toned out after a few hours.

Pleasant but nothing that warrants such high rating here

This motel/hotel truly shines because of its prime location! It's just a stone's throw from Heavenly Village, making it incredibly convenient. We also appreciated the complimentary parking and the hotel's location, slightly off the main intersection, adds to its appeal, as it offered us a quiet, traffic-free stay. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with everything, including the window AC, appearing recently updated or installed. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, adding to a very pleasant stay.

The room lacked a proper wardrobe, instead offering an open portable hanging rack and under-bed storage. The bathroom door, a sliding style, did not fully close, leaving a noticeable gap. The toiletries could have been better, with the body wash being ineffective, and other products lacklustre. The wash basin is inconveniently located outside the bathroom, creating disruptive noise at night. Additionally, the window AC unit was excessively loud, disturbing sleep. We also found the lighting inadequate, with only one bright white bedside lamp rather than two with a cozier yellow light. We recommend the hotel address the AC noise and upgrade the bedside lighting.

Given the prices in Tahoe, The Elect is a reasonable, non lavish place to stay

This was my first time in Tahoe, so I didn’t know what to expect. The Elet is more of a motel than a hotel stuck in the 1980-90s, until you get inside the rooms. Positives: newly remodeled rooms, comfortable bed, and thoughtful details including snacks and toiletries. Negatives: The bed sits on a metal box that loudly clangs when you accidentally step into it. There is some traffic noise as it is very close to the road. Although the air fresheners are a decent smell, they are way too strong, giving me a headache. I put it in the microwave to solve that problem.

The receptionist was so accommodating and friendly. We went there a little early just in case we could check in early, but unfortunately, none of the rooms were available after 30 mins. She called us and let us know that we can check in already. The rooms are suitable for family, nice simple and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and lots of snacks.
