During the winter months, the property is just a short distance from the Steamboat Ski area, so be sure to bring your skis and/or your snowboards. This is a great, cozy condo in a great location, as it is walking distance to the base of the ski resort. The pool and hottub are top notch, and the condo itself is well-stocked and cozy. I had discounted the prior reviews which talked about noise in the HVAC system at night--but in fact, it is a real problem. The noises sound like someone banging on the pipes above the ceiling with a hammer at any point in the night---probably an old HVAC system trying to distribute heat or get started (don't know if this is an issue in the summer also with A/C)--but for anyone who has trouble sleeping, it would be a significant problem. Our kids didn't notice it, and my husband and I were able to fall back to sleep, but it woke us up each night some nights for longer than others. We had a great stay overall and appreciated the location and the amenties in this complex, but I did want to share the issue with the noises. Probably time to invest in a systems upgrade for the building.

Canyon Creek was a great place to stay. Comfortable and clean with a great shuttle service. Staff was great. I left my helmet and googles on shuttle. They recovered and brought it to Canyon Creek the same day I reported it missing. The underground parking and ski lockers were great to use. Able to leave car in parking on last day of stay so we could get a solid half day of skiing before heading back to Denver.

This unit was perfect, except for 1 thing. There was a loud tapping noise in the walls and ceiling throughout the entire night. We complained and had the front desk listen to our recording. The worst part was it kept the four of us awake, and so skiing was not fun with no energy from being kept up at night. The maintenance guy did not come. I hope they fix this problem before the next guests arrive. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and all other amenities were spot on. This unit is great, but for the noise.
