Beach Villa Cala Carbo by Sealand Villas

Fantastic view overlooking the bay from every room. The terrace was amazing and we spent so much time there. We loved that we could barbecue in the evening. Would definitely like to stay here again

Well, don’t book this villa if you don’t like stairs.

Skvelá lokalita. Krásne výhľady. Luxusné priestory. Výhľad na more a zátoku z každého oka. Množstvo možností na posedenie voknu aj vo vnútri. Vonkajšia kuchyňa na terase. Veľký bazén. Kúsok na skalnatú pláž a do mesta.

Vila sa nachádza na kopci - skale. Prístup je po schodoch. V dome je taktiež veľa schodov. Nie je to nevýhoda, ale človek s tým musí počítať. Bolo by dobré zlepšiť prístupovú cestu z hora a urobiť parkovisko.

The villa is very spacious, with large bedrooms and plenty of room throughout to host groups of people. There is a fantastic barbecue area, which we used almost every night. The kitchen has a large fridge, plus plenty of kitchen accessories, glassware, plates etc. The barbecue area also has a small fridge which was great for storing sodas, beers and juice. The location of the villa is brilliant if you want quiet & remote. We didn’t hear a thing other than goats bleating which was very enjoyable. The pool is a great size, and plenty of pool chairs to relax on. The view from the pool and terrace is breathtaking. The property is located on a steep hill, so whilst not a problem for our group it will not be suited to everyone. The check in process is very easy to use, and we were also given the opportunity to check in early which was very much appreciated. The property has a washing machine, drier and clothes air drier which we found very helpful.

Unfortunately we experienced some issues during our stay. We lost hot water for 1.5 days, so we could not have hot showers during this time. Whilst the management company sent a technician to fix the issue, it’s not ideal that it happened at all. In addition, the iron in the property did not work and when using the kettle, boiling water would leak from the spout. Of the three beds in use during our stay, two of them are extremely noisy. Getting in and out of the beds, or just simple movement during the night would make a lot of noise. One of the couples changed from the double bed they were using into the room with two single beds as they couldn’t handle the noise of the bed any longer. In addition to the above, although we had intermittent cleaning arranged at least 2 weeks prior to our stay, there was no cleaning carried out. It was not until I emailed the management company to query this that someone was sent the next day to give us clean towels, bearing in mind this was the day before we left so it was pointless and disappointing. This is especially frustrating because the guest is specifically asked to email the cleaning department to arrange cleaning, which is what I did so I don’t understand why the arrangement wasn’t carried out as scheduled. For those renting a car to park at the property, there is parking behind the house on top of the hill. It’s unclear if guests are supposed to leave the car on the road or pull it into the ‘driveway’ that’s there. We used the ‘driveway’ however the management company had not cut back any of the vegetation that lined the driveway at the time and both rental cars were very badly scratched on the sides. Also bear in the mind the condition of the road leading up to the back of the property (not the responsibility of the management company) and the ‘driveway’ is absolutely terrible and makes for an uncomfortable drive. The driveway needs a lot of tending too before someone looses a wheel on their vehicle.
