Villa Mosson by Sealand Villas

Beautiful environment with very nice gardens and outdoor areas. Very good quiet location (apart from the farmer's tractor one morning) about a 20 minute walk from Puerto de Pollensa. The house is very tastefully decorated and adequately equipped with a good selection of kitchen utensils. Very good new downstairs bathroom.

The house itself was pretty cold, damp and smelt of wood varnish so we only really used it to sleep. A shame as it's a nice place. All the heating had been turned off, even the heated towel rail so we had to always hang out the towels etc to dry. Probably not a problem later in the season. There are air conditioning/heating units in the bedrooms. Note that they only function for 2 hours in the afternoon and from 8pm to 8am. They were also switched off at the mains when we arrived and we wasted some time trying to figure out how they worked. The owners came round (without any prior notice) but they switched the air conditioning units back on and explained that some of the outdoor lights needed to be turned on at the trip switches. We were given no information on any of this prior to arrival and there was apparently no information in the house. The twin bed mattresses are very firm yet the double bed mattress is seemingly old, quite soft and certainly not to our taste. The house is on an olive farm and there are also several aviaries. The mosquitoes would have been a problem if we had spent more time at the house.

Beds slightly too firm for all our parties liking I’m afraid. Interior comfortable but slightly tired

There was no welcome kit - no washing liquid, no shampoo, no toilet rolls etc. I panicked and had to go to a local supermarket for bare necessities.
