About this cabin rental
Best views on the lake! Authentic lake cabin vibes with up-to-date amenities in a private wooded setting overlooking Sturgeon Lake. You have direct access to the lake with a private dock and 150' of shoreline, and canoes, kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lake. Outside you'll enjoy a new lakeside deck, a cabin deck with a patio table and gas grill, and a sitting area around a firepit (firewood included). You'll enjoy the sights and sounds of loons and bald eagles and watch amazing sunsets. Inside the cabin you'll stay comfortable with a new furnace and AC (fall 2026), a newly renovated fully stocked kitchen (spring 2027), and an open great room, all with amazing lake views. The cabin has two private bedrooms, each with queen beds, and a sleeping loft with three single beds. The sleeping loft is great for kids and young adults. One bathroom with a tub/shower. The cabin can easily accommodate 7 guests. There is Wi-Fi, Netflix, DVD player with movies, and some games/puzzles. The boat launch is close by if you want to bring your own boat. Ask about local pontoon rentals starting at $800 for three days and discounted rates for additional days.
Inquire about specific availability and discounted 30+ day stays. $75 pet fee for ONE small/medium sized dog that does NOT shed. Add a pet when completing the number of guests. Sorry, no other pets are allowed.
Explore local trails for walking/hiking, ATV, snowmobile, and biking. Enjoy local restaurants, shops, a brewery, or play golf and pickleball, all within a few miles of the cabin. A short drive away is Jay Cook and Banning state parks, and Duluth is just 40 minutes away.

The property is accurately described in the write-up; the bunk beds are in a small cubby where a washer and dryer used to be. The kitchen is small but served our needs for a family of 4. The fishing was wonderful, we rented the Pontoon for the week and it was a big hit! Eric was quick to respond to all questions and check in was easy. One easy thing that could be added is another mirror bedsides the one in the bathroom, sharing one bathroom is fine but doing your hair without a mirror is a little difficult:)

The lake is beautiful, the cabin is a good very basic set-up. The sleeping beds are good for 4 adults. The other beds, in the loft and front closet, are really for children. The long steps down to the lakeside are very uneven and the railings are weak where they are attached and missing for one full flight of stairs. The shoreline is beautiful and the dock was great. The landscaping is beautiful. Parking is very easy. Easy drive from the twin-cities.
