About this cabin rental
The Ranch sits at an elevation of 8,656 ft. It is a 14 miles drive in **ONLY** accessible by 4x4 or UTV! 2 story cabin, sleeps 8-12 people comfortably! Cabin sits in Big Soap Park surrounded by the West Elk Wilderness in Gunnison National Forest. Totally surrounded by mountains, rolling foothills, thick pine forest, aspen areas, and beautiful open meadows to take in.
Breathtaking views. Great place for the adventurists and the ones who just want serenity out of the nut' n' bustle!
When staying at the cabin we want you to have an "at home" feel. From grilling out meats to cooking on the stovetop, you will have the comfort of preparing your own meals while vacationing in the mountains of Gunnison National Forest.
Leo's West Elk Ranch sleeps a large group (8-12) comfortably with singles and bunk bed setups. Our cabin is laid out much like a loft. The first floor has the kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a full size bathroom with toilet, tub/ shower combo & an extra outhouse outside! On the second floor, you have a lounging area with 2 single beds and hammock to chill out The beds are supported with air mattresses, covers, sleeping bags, and pillows.

We really enjoyed our stay! Garrett's cabin is well appointed, both inside (fully stocked kitchen, tableware, stove, solar powered lights, lots of beds, etc.) and outside (fire pit, lawn chairs, horseshoes, etc.). We saw elk and (using the binoculars provided!) a black bear! Make sure you're prepared for the drive in and have a 4x4 vehicle, but once you're there it's a relaxing paradise. :)
