About this apartment rental
Over our 3.5 years on VRBO, our condo has welcomed many extremely happy guests. We promise to provide the best service to our guests as this is our vacation home too! (and our only rental property). Our guests’ comfort, safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. We pride ourselves in ensuring that our listing's photos accurately reflect what you will enjoy upon arrival. Luana Kai D205 is a second floor, 1 bed/1 bath condo that boasts unobstructed panoramic ocean views. Our redecorated unit features new flooring throughout, fresh paint and new linens. It has a fully renovated, well-equipped kitchen featuring a walk-around island, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
The unit has A/C, in-unit washer and dryer, 2 flat-screen TVs (one a smart TV), HD cable TV, complimentary high speed wireless internet, free local and long-distance calls to the U.S. and Canada, and free unassigned parking in the on-site parking lot.
The bedroom features a king-size bed with a new mattress, a Tempur-Pedic topper and refreshed bedding along with a wall-mounted TV.
The updated bathroom has a large well-lit sink/vanity area with granite top and newly re-tiled shower with a rain showerhead fixture and a convenient toiletry niche.
For your convenience, we also provide pool/beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, pickleball & tennis rackets and balls (our inventory may vary at times).
For those who may need to get some work done while in paradise, or perhaps wishing to extend their trip, the unit has a functional remote work setup with two desks (one with a monitor), a wireless printer/scanner and high-speed internet.

About Luana Kai Resort:
Luana Kai is a beautiful resort with lovely grounds full of tropical plants. Best of all it is direct oceanfront, no busy roads to cross to reach the beach, no obstructions.
Enjoy fantastic Maui sunsets, excellent whale watching (December through April) and beach walks just 100 yards from the condo. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, kiteboarding, sunbathing, or looking for shells or turtles.
In addition to the 1.5 milelong beach in front of Luana Kai, several well-known beaches including Keawakapu, Kamaole II, Kamaole III, Charley Young, and Sugar Beach are all within a few minutes’ drive.
It is centrally located in Kihei with shops and restaurants nearby to explore, many within walking distance, and easy access to the airport (approximately a 15-20 minute drive).
Luana Kai has a gated oceanfront heated pool with hot tub, saunas, and a complete outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ grills, dining tables and plenty of chaise lounges for reading, sunbathing or relaxing with a tropical drink. Other amenities include tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard and a putting green. The entire complex is a non-smoking property and we ask that our guests are non-smokers.

We stayed 4 nights at this rental. The view from this rental was great! The unit was clean and we appreciated that there were rugs on the floor! The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed and more. There were plenty of towels and beach items. The pickleball court was not an issue for us. We arrived after the office closed on a Friday afternoon so we couldn't get the parking pass that was needed. We called the owner who advised us on what to do and they handled the situation very well. We enjoyed being able to walk the beach from this rental. We had easy access to restaurants in the area. We would stay here again.

This truly felt like a condo we would own ourselves. So many rentals are so cheaply furnished and have very sparse supplies but not this one! It had almost everything we could ever want or need. The furniture was comfortable (including the king bed) and the kitchen was well stocked with ingredients and nice dishes and pans.The unit has a beautiful view and is centrally located for visiting many places on the island. There are lots of restaurant choices nearby as well. We found the unit to be quiet as well. You are well away from the road so can't hear the traffic from the unit either.If you like pickleball, you will enjoy the easy access to walk out the door and join in a group for free play. They are there every morning and early evenings. The pool was a nice temperature and was a fine pool, but didn't have a lot of shade options. The beach right in front of the unit has a nice long stretch for walking on but you might want water shoes as there are some rocks on the beach.The easy access for getting in and and out of the condo with a keypad made it so convenient.A truly wonderful condo!

This was an amazing condo…so centrally located to everything we wanted to do!The condo was so very well stocked!!The chairs, beach towels and boogie board were so appreciated!Jen responded quickly when I thought I had a coffeePot problem!Would definitely stay again!

First, the easy part. Condo was great. Clean, design, furniture. Everything you could possibly need. It was perfect as well as Jen being so accommodating. Now, the reason we will not stay there again (but, let me preface this by saying evidently no one else mentioned this in reviews so maybe just us.) In the pics you see the beautiful lawn which is looking west not straight out from the deck. This whole grassy area is a 20 acre public park. If you look straight out from the deck towards the ocean about 40-50 yards from the deck is 8 pickle ball courts and 2 tennis courts ( 32 people playing at all times) They are beyond full with overflow from 6:59 in the AM until dark evidently every day per the participants. The enthusiasm of the players, which is substantial, at any given time as there were 40 - 60 people was not so bad, it is the constant pong, thwack, pong thwack, pong thwack of the game. For us, it made it impossible to sit on the deck in the am with coffee or evening glass of wine. We had to keep the door closed! So sad as we rented this to have front row ocean view and instead we had front row pickle ball view with the ocean behind. We have spent a month every year in Maui for many years and never, ever use A/C and did not on this visit but it is there if you also need to close the doors. Again, many reviews love this location but we prefer a more peaceful setting. Thank you Jen for being so gracious and we are very sorry this did not work out for us.
