Perfect hideaway in the mountains

Excellent views. Clean and efficient property, well-equipped. Location is perfect for walking.

The location and the view from the window are exceptional. The property was very clean and well-presented. All the equipment/gadgets worked well. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans and cooking utensils. Although they were not present in person, the hosts communicated promptly via the Booking.com messaging system. Plenty of parking. Only about 10 minutes drive to La Clusaz.

1. The hosts did give me the keycode for the property until the day of arrival. But this depends on 100% reliable email/internet/telephone communications on the day of travel. This can be a problem in the mountains and technical equipment can malfunction at the last moment. Why not issue the keycode just a few days before? 2. The contact telephone number in the details belonged to the previous owner of the property. Needs updating please. 3. There were many excellent gadgets in the property. But unfortunately there were no instructions on how to use the lights, the blind, the induction hob etc. This was frustrating and could so easily have been avoided by providing a few written instructions in the property (not on internet please, as in #1 above) (4. Note: The apartment is small. Not a problem for one person or possibly for two.)

A remote spot with a majestic view!

We have booked this apartment for a one-week Christmas holiday. Since the day of the booking, the owners were very attentive and hospitable. Not only they gave all the necessary information with regards to the apartment, but also very quickly responded to any of our additional questions (weather and road conditions, etc.) Upon arrival, we have received the check-in information and entered an impeccably clean and cozy studio. A nice surprise was, in addition to all the necessary kitchen utensils (for 6 people), we found a fondu pot and raclette machine – that’s exactly what you want to have after an active day! :) The apartment directly faces an absolutely gorgeous mountainous landscape of Massif de L'Etale and you can see all the Aravis chain from the balcony. Just majestic! Col de Merdassier (10 minutes walk to the apartment) has a nice grocery store and boulangerie for your needs. Also, Tête de Cabeau peak (15 min walk to the apartment) has a fantastic 360 panoramic view. Overall, our one-week stay was more than amazing and we noted this place as a come-back spot for the years to come, possibly during the summer as well. Finally, the weather on our check-out day was icy cold and our car could not handle slopes without chains. Our hosts, Pascale and his partner, assisted us to drove down to the main road! Their kindness and empathy literally saved our day and we could not be more thankful!

Exiguïté du logement annoncé pour 4 adultes. Inconfort du canapé-lit Odeurs d’égout persistantes dans la salle de bain Lave-linge sans intérêt et qui gâche de la place. Certain détails à revoir pour améliorer l’utilisation de l’espace (cache en bois qui limite l’ouverture de la porte d’entrée…)
