Dream Ville

This is not just a place to sleep, this is whole experience. We've been there on a Christmas night and my kids had the most memorable stay through our whole Sri Lanka trip. The place is in the jungle with breathtaking views. Everywhere you look there are many interesting details. We've been in the Deluxe Family room which is open on the front with 2 floors and bathroom with view towards the sky. Because of the holiday and probably there were enough guests the owners offered us a barbeque night that finished with a bonfire and marshmallow. This night was great. The owners were so kind and even give a presents to my children. My kids literally didn't stop talking about the place for the next 2 weeks and they were so amazed from everything there. We are recommending it for a slow stay to embrace Sri Lanka vibes.

Vermutlich führte unsere kurzfristige Buchung dazu, dass die Unterkunft nicht so sauber war (z.B. leeres Shampoo). Es hat uns aber nicht gestört, wir hatten alles selbst dabei.

A really wonderful place in nature, almost in the middle of the jungle. Beautiful views, and you sleep in open spaces where you’re separated from the surroundings only by a curtain. Those who may have issues with insects or other possible small visitors might find this a bit challenging. The property is very nicely maintained and offers a common area for socializing, a fire pit, and a small pool. Lunch or dinner can also be arranged with prior notice. The owners are friendly and helpful, and they’re happy to drive you to the main road by jeep if you wish (the road is in very poor condition and access by car is not possible). A tuk-tuk can also reach the property, but be prepared for an adrenaline-filled ride. Overall, it’s an excellent place for a complete disconnect in nature and an experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The location is about a 30-minute drive from Ella and is accessible only by tuk-tuk or by transport provided by the owners (a jeep is required). Those who have issues with insects might find it challenging, as sleeping is in open, tent-style accommodation.

The view is insane! Moreover it has been an experience to sleep outside. The common space with the area to eat and to make campfire are nice decorated and super lovely. You can see that they really put a lot of effort into it.

The toilets leaked so that urin was all over the ground and the bathrooms in general could do with a makeover. We also slept in the small family house, which is nicely done but smells extremely strongly of mouse. When we briefly had dinner, we had mouse droppings on the bed afterwards. It really was a disgusting state. The pool, which can be seen in the pictures, is in reality maybe 6 square meters in size and looks more like a bathtub. Furthermore, the staff are not unfriendly per se, but somehow we didn't feel the motto "come as a guest, leave as a friend". For us it felt like there was a hierarchy gap between owners and employees. All in all, it was a strange atmosphere.
