Kailua-Kona Studio - Walk to Hale Halawai Park!

It was the perfect location, there was a free trolley that took us to the grocery store for breakfast food, the trolley took us to public beach, farmers market. Everything else was within 5 mins walking distance. We really enjoyed ourselves.

The location was perfect. The unit was the right size. The bed was comfortable. It was nicely decorated with a nautical theme.'

Parking was not guaranteed. The unit was not as clean as I expected. This was not a hotel so maybe my expectation was too high. The screen door didn't fit right so it was awkward to use.

The location was great. There are so many restaurants near by, and some of them open at 7AM so no need to worry about breakfast if you're planning on a early morning tour. The bed was soft. The sofa and chairs on the balcony was awesome. Also it's basically in town so easy to get a Uber or Lyft. The jacuzzi and swimming pool in the yard was nice. You can really warm yourself up if needed.

I understand that because of the humid air, there is prone to bugs. But on the very first day I arrived this condo, I saw a giant LIVE cockroach lying on the carpet of bathroom. For the next few days, even though I didn't eat anything on bed (or next to bed) and take out the garbage containing food scraps everyday, I still found ants on the bed. Also the screen door leading to the balcony is not tightly fitted, bugs can still fly through the gap above. So I can barely open the window for venting for five days.
