Casa Amada - Private Villa - Heated pool - Free wifi - Air Con

The outdoor area is superb. The villa has a beautiful garden and a nicely heated pool. The beds are quite comfortable and each bedroom has an on-suite bathroom.

The inside of the villa is quite dark, much darker than on the photos. Unfortunately, basics like salt, pepper or oils weren’t supplied. However, the supermarket is just a 5 minute drive away. The communication with the host was mixed. We’ve got a message that someone will meet us at the property, however, upon arrival no one was there and we didn’t have the code to get the keys. After texting, the host replied immediately. A better communication could have made the arrival easier.

Villa is spotlessly clean and has everything you would want if you were self catering. Spacious accommodation with 2 large bedrooms with double beds. Sitting room with large TV. Fully equipped kitchen. Secure behind electric gates. The villa is about a 5 minute drive from Silves. You could walk in under 30 minutes but the lighting is not good and it is quite a busy road. A private drive from the road leads to the villa which is set back a couple of hundred metres. Plenty of space around the villa and pool for children playing. Well kept gardens all round the villa with orange trees. Views across open countryside from the patio. The host was very easy to contact and was proactive in providing information. A couple of good restaurants nearby. O Barradas is lovely. Cafe Ingles under the castle walls is lively, relaxed and regularly has live music. Both places have excellent service. Cafe Ingles has pizzas as well as local specialities. The road connections are very good if you want to get to places like Monchique or Alte for walking or to Portimau on the coast.

The only slight criticism is that although the villa is well set back from the road, the road is visible and can be heard at times. It didn't bother us greatly and is not a problem at all when inside the villa, which is very well insulated, but at peak times there is some limited traffic noise.

The seclusion and space. Heated pool. Full kitchen facilities and outside barbecue. Cleanliness. Proximity to Silves

A perfect location for a quiet and privat vacation. Very good to start trips around the Algarve.
