Half of the campsites are nicely located along the river with lots of shade. We prepared our bbq at sunset and it was really lovely. The shared toilets are spacious and clean, with hot water. The swimming pool is also nice with umbrellas and sunbeds. The restaurant and bar are beautiful and have a view on the river. There are friendly guides available for tours to Himba villages or hikes along the river.

The staff is ok but could do with some more smiling and kindness. The river was higher than expected and there was a warning on river flooding, but the staff couldn't really tell how much risky it was to overnight there... Mobile data are not working and they give you free wifi up to 300MB per day. If you want extra data it's 500MB for 100 N$ or 1GB for 200 N$. Even so, free wifi is extremely slow. Dinner is only buffet (not à la carte) and price is 415 N$ per person, drinks excluded, which is expensive considering what you get and Namibian prices. Breakfast is also buffet and it's 240 N$ per person.

Very good location with beautiful views. Very good restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food. Very clean. Very nice swimming pool.

You should take care of palm trees. During strong wind and rain dry palm leaves and nuts were falling on cars and tents and damaged one car.
