Emerald Isle Resort-Style Condo: Walk to Beaches!

Loved that it’s a gated area with private dock that leads to the beach and we stayed on the first level which wasn’t too many steps (a relief for those with bad knees!). Everything was easy to get to, fairly clean for it being right by the beach so we came there expecting the obvious when right by the ocean-Sand is inevitable so if you don’t want to feel sand everywhere, don’t stay somewhere right off the beach. Any questions we had, the property manager answered promptly and was great! We will be back! Some activities that are our fav every time! Fort Macon (it’s free, educational, and the staff is wonderful), The Black Pearl Mini-Golf course (perfect in the afternoons with great breeze, and really fun photo props), and of course The Pine Knoll Shores aquarium!!

We had to sweep when we got there (again, we extended grace knowing it’s right by the beach so we were anticipating sand) and had to turn the water on since we were the first ones there. This wasn’t a big deal, but for the price we’d hope that would be taken care of so we wouldn’t have work to do on a house that isn’t ours our first time and day there after driving for hours. Not a big deal, but if I’d been by myself I would’ve been worried about needing something up. The drains were a little dirty in the showers, so I laid a wash cloth over them while washing so no critters crawled out of them! 😂🤣 By the entrance are giant plants with a ton of bees, so we think there’s probably a nest there. We were bummed that the pool wasn’t open yet, but essentially and overall those were all little things and we loved our vacation and condo!

The whole experience was awesome. The location is perfect. Not to close but not too far from all the restaurants and shops. We got exactly what is in the description. All of the staff are nice and helpful. Best place me and my family has stayed so far.

The location in a gated community is awesome. Private beach entrance, laid back. Beach was not crowded at all. The partial ocean view was a nice surprise. Home comes fully equipped with a WELL stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer was awesome to have. 3 TVs. Very good wifi. There is Charter TV but we used our Roku and Xbox. We traveled with 3 kids (10,6,2) and there is plenty of space to spread out. Close grocery stores. The absolute best was the close walk to the ocean and home like feel at the condo. The only reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 was the mattress in the master was Super firm and felt older. After traveling 10 hours to vacation a good night's sleep is a must for me. However the kids said the beds in the 2nd room were comfortable. The owners respond promptly and are very courteous. The pool is right by this condo and appeared clean. However it was closed during our stay.

The owner was so helpful and easily accessible. He even worked with us to stay an extra night. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, the nightly deer sightings, and the friendly people. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. This was a years overdue healing trip.

We were confused about how to get through the gate initially (my inability to understand the directions). We had been told to bring our own linens because they could not be supplied for a 4 night stay which didn't make sense to us especially for the high price of the stay. When we got there we found sheets for every bed and a good supply of towels. For some odd reason, the cleaners made up the double bed rather than the master bed which we also couldn't understand. We thought we had more of an ocean view, the porch was full of dirt and an empty drink can, the furniture is stained, the outdoor furniture is moldy. Someone has taken one of the beach chairs which the owner probably doesn't know.
