Clean and modern accommodation close to airport, with some areas for improvement.

Hotel is in a well situated area if you need to stay overnight or be close the airport. The font office staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel feels modern and is clean. The room I stayed in had a shower (Not the standard EU shower in a bath tub) which was amazing and new. Breakfast was nice, not too many options, but good enough to have a decent meal before you head out.

1. Restaurant service is atrocious. I waited over an hour for my dinner. The restaurant staff are definately not the friendliest and make you feel their job is a burden. 2. The wifi facilities are OK - at night it really seemed to struggle, not sure if they could manage the number of people or whether the signal was poor, but eventually I switched over to my data bundle. 3. The airport instructions could be clearer. I asked the airport information desk (Another unfriendly place given they actually need to work with people) for directions and the guy told me that basically the pillars are numbered and I need to look for the pillar with that number to wait for the free shuttle to the hotel. It only drives every XX:15 and XX:45 mins to the hour which I found out at the waiting area. 4. Be careful if you use public transport to get around to Frankfurt - its not close to a regular bus stop. I eventually resorted to Uber.

Excellent value for money; close to Frankfurt Airport.

It is my second time staying here. I stay here when i have an early flight in the morning. Very clean and modern hotel, lots of automation (coffee machine, robots, and room controls). They have excellent beds and are in a great location with a shuttle to the airport, an excellent value for the money. I had a soup at the restaurant in the evening delivered by a robot. It was fun! The staff is wonderful and helpful….when I checked in , it was very hot in my room and the young man from reception helped me with the electronics to adjust the temperature .

Suddenly , the fan in the bathroom went on full blast at 02h00 am for an hour….and the shower head leaked but I managed to rest somewhat in spite of it.

High end feeling property for an afford price!

Extremely clean and new! Loved having a restaurant on site for both dinner and breakfast. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. We enjoyed their robot server delivering our meal in the restaurant. The rooms are finished to a very high level of craftsmanship. Having spent a lifetime in the trade I know good work when I see it!

No refrigerator. Finding the airport shuttle requires some advance planning. There was no room phone. Room thermostat would not cool the room very well.

Lovely

This is my fourth time staying here, and I have now named the Platzhirsch my favorite place to stay when I am arriving and departing Frankfurt. The Staff are amazing and totally recommend the Platzhirsch to anyone traveling near the Frankfurt airport.

We would not stay here again

The shower was very nice. We appreciated the shuttle.

When we got to the room, it was 25°C, which is 77 degrees Fahrenheit. By the time we went to bed hours later, it was still 24°C. We asked the front desk how to work the thermostat controls, so we are fairly certain we did it right. We don’t think that it was actually air conditioning, but just a fan. Because the room was so warm we opened up the balcony door. The problem was, there was some sort of electronic bird calls, singing all night, long, and they were quite loud. After an hour, we got up and used earplugs. But the room was still pretty hot so we only got about three hours of sleep. By the next morning, the room was reasonably cool due to having the window open all night long. While we appreciated the transfer, we had to walk about five minutes from the hotel, hauling all your luggage to get to the transfer point. Whenever we have had transfers before, they were always right in front of the hotel.

Everything is pristine and clean. Still looks and smells brand new. Have stayed here in the past, but didn’t have breakfast the first time. Had a later flight this stay, so enjoyed breakfast. The location is ideal for FRA. The free around the clock shuttle service is perfect!

The property is very nice. However, the shuttle drops you off a block away from hotel. Good luck finding the pickup point at the airport, It's really off the grid.

The hotel hours were not to my liking. For example my international flight got in at 8 AM. They wouldn't let me into my room before 4 PM unless I wanted to pay an extra fee. Keep in mind the place is new and so very few rooms were even used. Check in was 4 PM and check out was 10:00 AM, not Noon like other hotels. After an international flight with the time changes, I couldn't fall asleep until 3:00 AM local time and then to get up at 9:00 AM was grueling.

Room was very comfortable - good restaurant down the street - price was reasonable

Staff would not allow us to check in one hour early even though hotel seemed quite empty - once assigned a room, it had not been cleaned so they moved us to another room - air conditioning system was not functioning that day. We were told there would be a significant discount on the bill but there was not.

Tolle Unterkunft vor dem Flug!

Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! Das Zimmer war groß, sauber, modern, ein bequemes Bett und gerade für 1 Nacht super ausreichend bevor man fliegt. Das Duschgel hat fein gerochen und das Bad und die Dusche sind ebenfalls sehe geräumig. Klinigkeiten zum Essen abends gab es auch in einem dazugehörigen Bistro. Das Personal war sehr nett

An vielen Stellen sah das Zimmer leider, obwohl es so neu ist, etwas mitgenommen aus: Kratzer am Fernseher, an Wänden oder Möbeln. Das größte Manko war die laute Lüftung im Bad, die plötzlich für jeweils ca 1h läuft nachts. Und über uns wurden zwischen 24h und 4h morgens dauernd Möbel verrückt, aber da hatten wir wahrscheinlich Pech.

Sehr zu empfehlen

Das Hotel ist modern, sauber und das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich! Der Shuttle zum und vom Flughafen ist inklusive und super hilfreich. Wir sind nachmittags zum Flughafen angereist und haben den Shuttle zum Hotel genommen und am nächsten Morgen wieder zum Flughafen. Das Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr gut, etwas wenig Auswahl aber dafür lecker und der Robo Mietze Kellner war mein Highlight :)
