Holiday house Iva

It was lovely and characterful and a great location within martinšćica. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. The terrace was lovely and shaded. The owner was very flexible and kind. We loved all the pictures and history of the house.

Because of extreme heat at the time of our stay the upstairs bedrooms were very hot to sleep in. The fans made a huge difference and it was very thoughtful of the owner to let us know beforehand. Shutters on the landing window might have helped keep some of the heat out.

The bay was gorgeous and the rooms were very close to the beach.

The house was very old (about 100 years old) and, while the beds were comfortable, the only air conditioning was in a small family room. The main floor bedroom was quite hot for sleeping (the outside temperatures were very hot, around 30C each day) and the two upstairs rooms were almost unbearably hot. In the off season it might be good value for a family that required 3 bedrooms but we found it really quite pricey for the place considering the issues and other places available for similar or less.
